The were on our to do list...then the trans went.
We have an A998 we are building for it but I ruptured my Achilles pushing my sons truck (a Ford, for the record!!!) So finishing that is on hold for the moment.
If we don't have the $$$ after the trans for drag radials I may take a page out of 318willrun's playbook and try slapper bars!!!
I cut easy 1.9's consistently with a open 2.76, regular radial 235/60r15's and slapper bars.

With the drag radials (and a low horsepower car) my Dart usually hooks. A friend of mine (also a 14 second car) got a well worn used set for free and it hooks well.

that is interesting...…. E85.... What do you think the gains are for E85 ? Not horsepower, but ET wise?
Hard to say...I see it as more of a consistency thing for bracket racing (also helps the car run cool on hot days). If I recall correctly my car picked up about a tenth when I switched over.

Oh I know, I've been paying attention to you!!
As soon as the trans is in, homemade subframe connectors are next. We noticed the drivers door "popped" when opening it after a day at the track. And that it went back to normal after setting a day or 2.
If funds allow I would really like to do drag radials AND slapper bars.
We will see....

Might as well count this beast in as well... call it "Kidswillrun" :)

Sooooo,
Went to the track today. My first time ever. Plenty of street racing (not an endorsement) when I was a kid. I was going to take it easy check it out, get a run under my belt. See what the car would do. No shifting, just roll into it and go. Which I did. Figured it would get better. Little did I know that would be my only pass. The lines were crazy, bunches of race cars, vw convention in town, the weather was crap, and after several hours and delays, with the rain setting in, we gave up.

The good news is I had a ball! I am sooo going back. Soon. Even when you're waiting in line you're amongst like-minded people. Can't wait to go back, but it will definitely be on a weeknight or I'll pay more attention to what's actually going on at the track before I go.

So here's what the car did just mashing the gas. Obviously lots of room for improvement, lol.
