i don't know how you could have read that in my post. It's a general statement. We aren't worried about the end results, we can't fail on this project. Just a general comment of conversation. You stating that i'm putting words in your mouth is like - - WAY - - - OUT - - There..... in a far away land... LOLWell you have a wide range of abilities! One minute you're building 10-second cars or trucks my bad and the next minute you're handing out psychological diagnosis... Well I appreciate knowing that I have major paranoia now LOL......

I don't know where way out there in Faraway land it is maybe you can elaborate from your experience...
about 1500. One thing is, I'm giving away parts I could sell because some people I know could use some of this stuff that I could sell. But that's ok, that's why I'm not worried if I go a little over budget. A person wouldn't have to give away anything.
Kind of like you saying "the demon carbs look better, I don't care if doesn't gain any power" and I say "Where did I say you wouldn't run faster, stop putting words in my mouth"... You'd be like "What??" LOL

By the way, don't confuse this for the low dollar 318 build. That 318 build was planned and I stated it was going to be an example, a recipe to help newbies with under 500 to spend. This is nothing like this. It is NOT an example for anyone to follow, or to show ANYONE how it's done. If so, we'd never bought a pickup. This is for us, and our entertainment. Just sharing the build here...

It wasn't a psychological diagnosis... it was a definition of an English word in our vocabulary. And you demonstrated it.

How I see it (putting cosmetics aside), you have about 5000 more dollars in your motor than I do mine. IF I put 5k into my motor, I'd better be in the 10's. I mean, think about it, we may move a full size truck into the 12's with a grenade 800 dollar 5.9 magnum? LOL... If it does, if it does, how is it that we both are in the 12's ??? LOL... I mean, my friends Duster is at 11.5's with a stock stroke 340, you have what 65-70 cubes on him?? how come your slower??? Not picking on you, but you asked the question.

My last 12 second car was a 25 dollar 360 that I put another 975 into it. The tranny was a used - untouched 727 from a pickup. Yeah, we were in same company running 12's. Again, not picking on you... just stating the facts. I doubt I ever build a 410 stroker, but if I do, it won't be a 12 second machine, unless it's in my B250 Van

This isn't my fastest time slip of course and there's flaws everywhere I'm sure, but at least I have the cojones to show my faults... I don't run a make believe smoke and mirrors show this is real life what I did not what my friends do... Whether you're the kind of guy who likes 7 cars that are slow or one car that is fast I realize it's just personal preference and whatever makes you happy...
