Sold the Duster and all my parts . he came with 10k cash and I don't have to move them around anymore. Loaded the car up and delivered it. I offered it to many and got no offers. Ernie Came with cash. He is a friend of the man with the Gold Demon we clipped. And a old friend of mine from 30 yrs ago. He is also having my son build an aluminum headed stroker motor for the car.

Sad to see it go I bet but it sounds like it's going to a good home. He scored a sweet deal.

I feel your pain, sold my duster a few weeks back. was glad a friend bought it but, it was hard seeing it get hauled off.
just don't have the time or drive to put all these projects back together anymore. have a few I can't/wont let go of but the others well....

What engine is in it now?? If it’s a 340 that runs (or a 360) I know several people looking for those. Maybe your buyer is looking to sell.

TIA
YR

Mopars hold their value good. When the time comes to turn them, they give back to you.

Sounds like it is going to another good home to live another day, keeping the dream alive.

The price you told me about 2 yrs ago was an absolute steal, it was just too far away , for me. Looks like you done some work since then. Glad you got what you needed for it and it's gone to a good home.

Cash $$$ talks, bullshit walks, good for you and it won't be far from home.

I'm in the same boat as you right now. I made a for sale ad but haven't got the gumption to post it. It's hard but sometimes reality steps in.
Hope you stay around and keep sharing your many years of experience .

Some one on the site has a car I am interested in. We'll see if he answers me. Now I have the cash.

At its new home. Ernie owns a body shop . I will help him assemble the car after paint. First time I drove it was yesterday. It runs beautiful. Trans works perfect. After sitting for almost a year I cranked it a couple times to fill the carb then once to the floor and let up. Tapped the key and it fired right up.

I am also selling my 7000 mile anniversary Low rider. I can't ride two and the road king has a fat seat that matches my ***

Are you sure we aren't related ? I did the same with my bikes.

Nice color on the Duster. Is he keeping that?

Friend of mine wanted to sell me his Dyna. I’ll have to make space one day for an American bike.

That car is very nice! Steve was kind enough to let me crawl around it when I was trying to verify original parts for my car!

Nothing is forever. We all want to keep our cars for ever but there will come a day for all of us when we have to say goodbye for one reason or another. It's easy to focus on the loss but there is some solace if we try to appreciate the times that we do have with these cars in our lives. It becomes obvious that that they make our days richer while they are here and they make our personal history richer through the memories that we get to keep.

But yeah. These are the hard moments. To car people, these things are so much more than "things." They represent good times, hopes and dreams, the stuff that gets us out of bed in the morning. As long as that car is out there in the garage, there's still some sense that there could more of the good stuff ahead. Some of us are just sentimental about our cars and see them more as a family member than an inanimate object. So when it becomes necessary to sell them, they leave a big hole in our lives.

It's going to a good home...you didn't sell it to some mouth breather who is going to chop it up or run it in a demolition derby. It sounds like the buyer might be one of us...I think you can be glad about that.

I bought this car to replace my orange one wrecked. The car was to nice to change the color. I didn't have to paint the door jams . It was a race car with a stroker. One owner, The man was 81 years old . I took all the extra factory parts from My stash and was building it to sell.

I didn't want a bronze Duster.

I was hoping to finish it but my son started on the race Demon. No room in the old shop for two.

The car is staying Bronze. Ernie is Painting it and then I will help him assemble it here Bumpers and grille , scoop and spoiler. Decals and small parts its done . Down the road he wants a stroker built for it.

They are 4 1/4 BS 15x8 wheels. 275 60 x15 Good Year Eagles. Not a sticky tire so I won't miss-em
One more question were these custom ordered? Wheel vintiques or stockton wheel? Can you still install factory trim rings? I eventually want to get some like those for my dart sport. Currently have 15x7 but dont quite fill the wheel well to my liking.
