I believe intake are 5.010 and the ex are 5.011. 11/32 stem. Springs are 1.460 Kim
Hmm. I may need to call speedmaster tomorrow and check before I buy valves then. I thought I read somewhere that they’re +.100” Chevy valves

valves are 5.010.......

35;40 a set of 8..

If u put a longer valve in the valve tip gets farther away from the rocker making it too short. The sweep pattern is way off then. That’s why I used the 5.011 and 5.010. I have the 5.040 here. .030 doesn’t sound like much but the sweep pattern was way off. Kim

Looks like they are all closed chamber. How does that work with 10.5 340 pistons?

Any recommendations on which retainers and locks? Or Should I wait until I have the springs and heads and see what the machine shop recommends? This is my first time having a set of heads set up so I’m pretty uneducated on all this.

outside for seals?......not off the top of my head.....could measure them tomorrow...probably the same as the Edelbrock head

Looks like the valve seals and the PCE rocker arms are out of stock, so um gonna go ahead and order the heads, valves, locks, retainers and head stud kit. Hopefully the rockers come back in before the sale ends.

Yeah..... this making my head spin. LOL. ...I’m just gonna order the assembled heads and run ‘em. Just going on a stock stroke rebuilt 360 with speed pro hypereutectic pistons.

it’s going in an old truck.

Btw, these are the valve springs I plan on installing. Still use that diameter retainer?

Yeah it is kinda “mind bottling”

Other than weight savings, does anyone think I'd be wasting money buying these heads over my good flowing j head using 340 exhaust manifolds with good flowing exhaust with the appropriate camshaft? I know thats a little vague. Not set on gears yeat but I have 391 now with stock converter in my 67 fastback 340 ci

Don't forget to buy the stud kit while it's cheap...

You are going to have to look at the retainers that fit your spring diameter....the retainers I use 1.40 ..I use with a 1.46 spring....they wont work with your spring.
So going off spring diameters and the retainer diameters, they have two different styles that would work for my springs. A flat retainer and a dished retainer.

Not so fast about Bolt them on and go. The set I bought went right to PRH and I am glad because the long term would have created problems. He may chime in and tell you what he found. Quite frankly I don't remember all the details and I don't need to. He is a strait shooter and they are now corrected without question and that's why I sent them there....

Like almost any manufactured head. Send them off to get checked. But hey, they are real nice for the price and they are on sale NOW !!!!

No question it's a killer deal. They fit my needs. Plus PRH tuned them up a little since he had them. Personally though if I wanted to be a little more serious I would look at the Trickflows however that comes at a cost..... And even then I would probably not trust them OOTB lol....
