Yep , same here. I ALMOST miss the smartest guy in the room, who copied most of his answers to questions, off other sites, like nobody here realized that.

But seriously. I have a Milwaukee M18 tool kit and a couple of the high capacity batteries. One battery runs Sawzall, Skilsaw, impact drill all day cutting sheets of plywood and 2x4s for small-ish projects. Without getting into the whole environmental impact of lithium extraction.... it's cool not to have to string extension cords or drag a generator out into the back 40.
I have my collection of Dewalt cordless tools. I use and abuse them constantly.
Next buy is a 1/2 or 3/8 compact impact wrench... I'll stick with the M18 as the batteries are compatible across all the tools in the series
Anything 5.0 - 6.0+ mAH Battery wise is not inexpensive. Had one of my Dewalt batteries go deeed on me early on. Shows a charge but couldn't handle a load. Just recently found a reset hack that seems to have worked

I love the new battery technology I have not ran my air compressor for months. Everything from saws all’s to grinders and long snout ratchets. I ended up fabricating the shelf to hold em all. Ordered a couple of elcheapo holders for paint cans then cut off the slots and dots portion and welded them to my fabricated shelf. Better space utilization and doesn’t tie up a deep drawer, and I can remove if need be. They are space hogs for sure, no graceful way to store them.

Love my Milwaukee tools. And for most homeowners, a battery powered weedwacker may be sufficient. But I hardly see them as equal to gas power. How many $100 batteries would a landscaper need to have charging every night?
My gutter installers here run Dewalt and have a couple extra batteries for each driver and 3 or 4 chargers lined up in the trailer. It really depends how they are used. The landscapers would go through batteries pretty quick. Most of the tools are constantly running not like the gutter guys running in some metal screws. My Worx lawn tools are 20 volt. The standard batteries are 2.0 a/h and are light and handy for trimming bushes or at the end of the pole saw as long as I don't need it too long. I have a big 4.0 a/h battery that lasts a very long time on the leaf blower or string trimmer. A couple chargers keeps them ready to go. Likewise, drills always take more battery than a impact tool.

Or visit the hood. Cheap there . Pull into any Lowe's or Home Depot with a contractor truck. Two guys to watch they don't steal your stuff and another guy with you buying stuff.

In some other news. Today was pretty cool. Gotta do some training with some Rangers on posts , doing some drills ive never seen before but that were cool as hell. Plus got to spend time with a contingent of the the refuges from Afghanistan and hear some of their stories. Very interesting their political leanings and who they blame for things going south. Took me by surprise that’s for sure. But it was the stories of the kids that tore at me. We have kids here that have no clue where their parents are. They were pushed their the crowds into arms of Marines and the 82nd boys and girls, pushed into aircraft by themselves.
