Another method is a length of welding wire or similar laying across the head in front of the pedestals, keeping the p rods in place.
And you gotta' love those heads!I came up with this today while installing my rockers . Its always a pain keeping the pushrods positioned while torqueing down the shafts.

Great idea! And, for those thinking of going roller cam, how’s about some useful feedback on the lifters your using and what if any clearancing did that LA non-roller block require? OK- a dumb question. What is the purpose of such large exhaust cross-over in those heads? Intake/exhaust look amazing!

Were they previously used or brand new?..Yes.. assuming I can get then anywhere near dialed in .
