A great woman erased from history by idiots.

The branding of the syrup was a tribute to this woman’s gifts and talents. Now future generations will not even know this beautiful woman existed. What a shame. The world knew her as “Aunt Jemima”, but her given name was Nancy Green and she was a true American success story. She was born a slave in 1834 Montgomery County, KY. and became a wealthy superstar in the advertising world, as its first living trademark. Green was 56-yrs old when she was selected as spokesperson for a new ready-mixed, self-rising pancake flour and made her debut in 1893 at a fair and exposition in Chicago. She demonstrated the pancake mix and served thousands of pancakes, and became an immediate star. She was a good storyteller, her personality was warm and appealing, and her showmanship was exceptional. Her exhibition booth drew so many people that special security personnel were assigned to keep the crowds moving. Nancy Green was signed to a lifetime contract, traveled on promotional tours all over the country, and was extremely well paid. Her financial freedom and stature as a national spokesperson enabled her to become a leading advocate against poverty and in favor of equal rights for all Americans. She maintained her job until her death in 1923, at age 89. This was a remarkable woman, and sadly she has been ERASED by politics. I wanted you to know and remind you in this cancel culture time period
 
Why am I not surprised at the stupidity and depravity of the left?
  • Who pushed for gun control laws, and why, and most importantly when?
  • Who pushed for the ****** of free money and destroying the nuclear and extended family?
  • Who is pushing for the erasure of history?
  • Who is responsible for the genocidal numbers of deaths since the '60's of the innocent?
And I am in the basket of deplorables, I am the racist, I am a NAZI, I am the one with hatred in my heart? I don't think so, cupcake. You lefties are nothing but rudderless and feral children, lashing out at anyone who tells you no. Utterly without wisdom and lacking in any capacity for introspection and self honesty. It may not be your fault, take note of this; It is your problem and responsibility to mend your ways, if you wish to live in and to pass on to any children that you may have, any sort of civil society.

Us, the grownups can no longer allow you to drill holes in the boat that we are all in. This is how it is going to go for our own survival. Pay attention.
  • First we will have to take away your hand drills and patch the boat.
  • If you try to hammer holes, we will have to take away your hammers.
  • If you then bust out the sawzalls and skillsaws, we will have to take those away as well.
  • Once we have stopped your suicidal and homicidal behavior and you have still refused to be civil, we will have to throw you out of the boat to sink or swim on your own. Or you can go live amongst your kind in Venezuela or Cuba, or Libya, or China or North Korea.
Lefties, you really do not belong in this nation. You really, really don't.
 
Okay it's my turn, I don't usually go here but I think I have a pretty good perspective. I work in one of the more or most liberal cities in United States Eugene Oregon. 5 years ago it was still awesome, but now due to liberal government and control it is become a homeless mess along with California and Washington you can have ****** and meth in your pocket here now and the worst you're going to get is a ticket and the poor people who have lived here for generations navigate the escalating crime and filth all while suicides and od's and violent crime Spike. Just the facts ma'am! So who is really tearing our country apart? That's not really a question I know the answer! I will add my perspective comes from being the program field lead for the elicit activities team for the City of Eugene Oregon where we attempt to mitigate negative and illegal impact on 3000 acres of developed and natural area Parks where my team removes hundreds of tons of garbage and thousands of needles from the camps that allow you to kill yourself slowly and Rob your neighbor's blind policies.

I see the benefits of both sides of the isle. I wish I could respond......but why??? This thread started out so good. A tribute to a woman that rose above in times that did not lend to such things. Less than 10 posts and we are in the quagmire. Sigh.....so sad. I like you guys, but the quickness that we draw our guns just brings us closer to demise. divided we fall. Be well friends, no persons mind is changed in these discussions.

I think it was an honour for her and her family but this is today when you have to be so careful not to offend this new generation. Anything to make the headlines I guess

Well, a 289 or a 351 or a 390 or a 460 or a 327, or a 350, or a 454 are technically tools... tools to move vehicles... And boat anchors are tools, so those are DUAL PURPOSE tools.
 
The original post is indeed true and factual, 100%. I can remember Mama and Daddy talking about when one of the actresses (there were several) came through Macon before we were born. They talked about how neat it was and how it was almost as big a deal as the Georgia State Fair. Even The African American Registry of The United States says that the character should be celebrated. So what does that tell you? It tells me leftist loonies will latch onto anything to further their agenda.
 
Well.....I say it's all true and factual. I don't know how "wealthy" she was, because when she died, she was buried basically in almost an unmarked plot against a wall. She still could have been very well off for a black woman in her time. But all the rest can easily be verified.

I read the history in Uncle Ben, when this madness was proposed last summer. Texas Boy, I believe. But hie Rice, was the Best, most hearty around. How is it racist to celebrate these hard working folk, for their Life's Work? It's racist to Not give them Credit, cause it's due them! These assholes are screwed up, from the floor up

Not sure why you quoted me, but I agree with K.O. I am not sure of the politics of his specific city, but it sounds like he feels that the gov't there is too liberal and has let homeless people and drug users make a mess of a once beautiful place.

Fact....I believe him.
Fact: No person's mind is changed through these conversations.
