I think a lot of problems start at home when both parents have to work and don't have time to be with their kids and have to be at a babysitter.
Then the parents try and express their love buy buying them expensive stuff to make up for it. Kids today spend too much time on the electronics and do not have any idea how to talk to people and no time because they want to get back to their game or whatever. They can't figure anything out unless they have a computer etc and as for writing in cursive, their spelling is atrocious.
With technology the way it is today it can only get worse.
What with all this tech stuff and fast foods and no exercise the life expectancy will be dropping again and 60 will be old again.
I know my 4 grandsons are all addicted to the net etc.
Hate to think what the next generation will be like.

I have found that is the least effective way of gaining compliance. Just like a child. Repetition and patience does the trick. Nothing about horses is instant results. Just like a child.
Neither of my kids has ever had a proper beating like I had. My Dad would take the same approach to me as he did a horse. I got the belt a lot! I have very seldomly swatted their but with my hand but never have I felt any reason to go to a belt. I have gotten compliments all their lives about how well behaved they are. Raising kids like this isn't hard, it's actually easier.

Mirror image here, never need the belt. Had other more effective ways of teaching. Quad keys, snowmobile keys, would disappear. No transportation no friends, had to stay home. A system of reward and denial worked very well. Never gave me a reason not to be proud of them.

I was always amused when the daughter told the 3 year old "IF you do that JUST one more time, I will spank your bottom"! This went on for 8- 10 times till the kid just went on to something else. No spanking to back it up. lol
My girls knew I meant what I said, I did not have to repeat. I had a 2 yr old stud that was bad to bite, in his stall, I had told my 3 year old, DO NOT touch that colt, do NOT get near it..period. Then one day I hear her ball and see her standing on her tip toes with her hand in his mouth. From that moment on, she understand WHY I told her something, IT was real!!! Then I asked her IF she needed her butt spanked good to understand that when I tell her something, she better respond. She was old enough to tell me her learned her lesson. And she did.

He bought a Supercapicators company just to get the info, dumped it when he got what he wanted. Went to MIT to study Supercapicators. In Europe there are buses that run on Supercapicators that pull into a wireless charging stations.

Even if it costs me $100 to cruise On Fri nights, I will do it. Cruising is iconic, the American way.

Collector cars are works of art to be cherished, and in my case an heirloom to pass on to my son, his son, etc

Have two collectors cars, my dads 31 model A Ford coupe, and my 74 dart sport 360, told my boys they each get one when I pass. Told them I’m not making that decision you’ll have to figure it out amongst yourselves. They’re level headed they’ll figure it out.

I have two assault weapons. One CZ Scorpion 9mm and one Sig Rattler (5.56 and 300 BLK). They are rigged out with suppressors, and lasers and 50 rd magazines. I also have a 1970s Ruger SS 357 mag pistol. I told my two sons to pick which assault weapon they want and my daughter wants the Ruger!! They are all hard working level headed kids and will do well!!

Wouldn’t mind any of those however they are all restricted weapons in Canada. Not that I couldn’t own them but the amount of hoops I’d have to jump through to get the proper license is amazing.

It wasn't too bad.....I bought the guns and submitted the paperwork. I got to own/shoot the guns and have some fun until the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives approved everything. So yes, it takes time but you get to enjoy the guns while you wait!!! The suppressors get put into suppressor jail until approval and the lasers are legal. But I'm in Texas where your allowed to make your own suppressor????
 
I wouldn't call anything an "Assault Weapon" unless it was used during an assault. Is a buck knife considered an assault knife? Is a baseball bat an assault stick?

For those who say AR's are just killing machines, no practical use for hunting, and should only be used by the military have never hunted. An alloy AR-15 is sometimes pounds lighter than a 5.56 wooden stock hunting rifle. They can shoot just as accurate and are very effective hunting rifles.
AR-10's have the ability to reach 1000 yards and take out big game with a Sierra Match King bullet.

I prefer to call them modern sporting rifles.
 
I don't own any hunting rifles/guns, only self defense weapons. No AR15s. If I am assaulted, well, I'm sure you can figure it out!!! The Rattler 300 BLK can be accurate to 300 yards with its' 5.5 barrel. I got my expert badge with the M16, at hundred yards it was extremely acurate! My son uses an AR 5.56 for hunting, so yes they are used for hunting.

Wouldn’t be one of my choices, floating firing pin is not one of thing I care to have in a hunting rifle

They are not a sporting rifle because the animal has no sporting chance to get away. If you're that bad a shot to need that firepower then buy the meat at the store. It should only take one bullet to bring something down and maybe a second to finish it off.
Sorry but I don't like guns and I don't hunt.

Our right to own guns has NOTHING to do with hunting
When the second amendment was written, the founding fathers had not just returned from deer camp, they had just defeated the most technological advanced army in the world

And that is the context in which one must read the second amendment

Does the government have access to nukes?
Then under the second amendment the people also have a right to nukes

(Because the second amendment is there to ensure we can overthrow the government forces, should the need arise)

But when your second amendment was written it was ball and musket not high powered assault rifles. My point is that those types of guns aren't for hunting. Blasting a large round of projectiles at an animal isn't sportsmanship and where are those other bullets going at a high rate of velocity?
Like I said before, if you're that bad a shot buy the meat at the store.

I actually find the 55.6 round underpowered for hunting, I prefer the 7.62x39

Did you know most states have a minimum caliber requirements for hunting?

You want to kill and drop the animals
Not wound it and make it suffer

You are correct!!! I have never heard that pedophilia is becoming normal. Must be an Illinois thing??? In Texas pedophilia is not a good carreer path if you want to live a long life. We prefer castration for those folks!!!
