Rent a commercial Chipper.?
I know more work.
A possibility but there are some really big pieces in the pile. More than half of my brush pile is big stuff three four foot wide six to eight foot long. I'd be happy if they just took that. My brush pile is within 40 foot of the road in the field and won't be too hard to move. The former owner said they lost about 20 trees 10 years ago and I think this is what this pile is. He has two other brush piles on his house lot property. He's getting ready to sell that and will have to clear that I feel before anyone will buy it.

I have a large box truck with a pull behind chipper.
Haven't used it I a long time sorry your not closer.

Morning!
-35c or -30f. I think this is the coldest day so far. Im so glad i put truck in shop. The 250 foot trudge will be unpleasant.

So i got a new satellite tv receiver. Is HD. My old dish is not hd, it wont work with the reciever. Called bell, they say i have to pay for a service call to get it changed. So, mileage alone for a rep to show up will be a few hundred. Nope, i will send reciever back before that. I know a local guy that may be willing to come set it up and i will happily give him the money.
Has to be a bell rep, they say.
Then the lady ends the conversation saying we have to call mgmt during business hours. What a nuisance. I wanted a non-hd for this reason. No longer offered.

Sounds like a great idea letting the other guys do it. I bet their bids are super reasonable this time of year.

I'm thinking they will. I saw one of the companies doing work yesterday.
Six guys and two trucks on a big tree. That's a lot of workers for one large tree.
It told me they don't have a lot of jobs going right now.

Good Morning everyone. I hope all is well and people are ensuring staying warm when they can. Got all my outside stuff done the other day, furnace switched over yesterday and engine block/tunnel ram sent out. Now back to daily grind.

I am back was in the shop a bit went in no new snow came out we got about a inch and it stopped!

made it to shop,a couple led lights are flickering, thinking low voltage for whatever reason

Check your voltage but thos LED's don't last a million hours like they advertise. I always have some flickering here at home. LOL

I be awake! I was day creaming.

That pile sounds like a couple weeks work for a large chipper and crew. Plus equipment to haul away stuff too big to chip. Or if still burnable, they could leave logs lay. Sell/give them to someone -pick-up only instead of paying to have removed. If selling, just pay to have cut to log length.

Can you just buy the dish you need?

Not necessarily. The crew that took my tree down was 5 people. Same as when they did neighbors in mid summer a couple years ago. Saw man on lift. Forman on tractor. 3 doing cut-up and chipping, etc to
keep ground clear as fast as the guy in the air can drop it.

About an inch here, but still snowing

It's big old cottonwood tree scrape. I don't know if you have them in PA, but it's like burning wet paper.

Not familiar with it. That sucks. Getting rid of big non burnable stuff is gonna cost$$$ Need equip to pick up and haul. Maybe dumping fees... :BangHead: Which explains why they just dumped it there in the first place.

Hey guys. I see those pictures of snow and I remember why we don't live there. Every summer I consider relocating in PA. Then the winter pictures. Now Mitch has it figured out.....

Hey folks. My “Friday” has just started. I only work mon-thu so now I’m off for the weekend.
In case anyone here has a stash of planetary sets for an A500 transmission, please let me know.
