Stop in for a cup of coffee

Whoa. I guess I'd better contact the shipping firm. I need the pistons befor the end of February.

Well, "need" is a strong word, perhaps. The machinist can't start on my block untiul early March and they need the pistons to begin work.
If you can get them out of the country in 5 weeks, you need to buy a lotto ticket. Be aware, a lot of shipping companies can’t give you a definitive date currently

We need more Arkansas,Missouri and Mississippi members in here , I wish I had served in the army or something so I can understand and relate to some of the members here, but all I did was pick the fruits of what most of y'all had on the table back in the late 60es and 70es. Nothing exciting about that job :poke:

But I do come to say good morning and try and support this thread, I can be everyone's clown i guess ...

Definitely not clown. Being part of the Red Letter gang opens you up for added poking. :poke:

Yup mowed and baled a lot of hay growing up. Hand picked sweet corn, worked potato harvest and stacked and loaded turf on the back of a cutter. Sat up all night watching irrigation while getting old 50s pickups running and driving the back roads with my buddies drinking beer and acting a fool. Good times

The way things have worked previous times is that once my stuff gets to the terminal it gets booked on a container where it can fit. That container is already booked for transport on a ship.

Basically, within two weeks from arriving to the terminal in Newark, my container has been on its way. I think they still operate the same way.

The guy wanted to sell me a '75 Duster with a back braced Moser rear end, QA front end, hopped up 360 and race prepped 904 for 10k. Good thing I don't have the space...

Mike you are anything but a clown to me.:thankyou::thumbsup:
oh I know bud, probably the wrong choice of words, you guys are knowledgeable and I absorb as much as I can here my friend

Also, you’re probably healthier and better of NOT having served in a lot of cases. Especially during those times. But regardless, it just wasn’t your destiny or path.

for me, it’s very odd looking back on my nearly 18 years in so far. I never intended or imagined staying for any more than 6 years. Then after I got out, I missed the environment more than I realized . So I came back in. And stayed. Almost got out at 14 years. 8 days before my contract was up, I signed the extension and then I kept signing. Now I’m looking at a possible medical retirement or just staying until my 20. Crazy right?
yes, it's been a good .. no great life for you I am sure, a good decision I would think .
Thanks for the kind and I believe true words this morning, but I do feel like a miss fit in this thread at time
Will continue living like someone left the gate open :thankyou:

Made me remember an old memory, a farmer set up a Willie's jeep (truck cab style) to run a pump to water his strawberries, on one Frosty night in Florida they had me watch the system, unplug sprinkler heads, keep the jeep gassed up , the farmers son came checking on me and I was setting in the jeep staying warm because it had a hell of a heater, he jumped in the passenger side and popped the lid on a Jack Daniel bottle, we both had a couple pulls off it and a joint, as he opened his door up to our surprise a big rattler was half inside his door crawling in or out i can't remember, I thought he was having a fit or something or acting silly, then I seen the snake ! He busted his nose on the door getting out, for weeks they thought and joked around that Markus cought me with his girlfriend and we fought....wow, forgot all about that..
Life is good
