Mopar or No Car...
I will not price another person's property, if there isn't a price posted I pass period.
I can get people wantin to get the best deal they can, but to be down right insulting is something else altogether....plus, you said "firm".Understand 100% where the OP is coming from. Listed a car for sale at 13K FIRM... got told that it was an 8K car and best he could do from someone on this site (known flipper)...
My response. I said firm on the price, please don't ever contact me again if you want something I'm selling. LOL
Also got, you want 10K, it's going to cost me 3K to get it to my place, take 6K? Not my fault you live in the wrong spot to buy my car. Sold the car for 10K a few weeks later.
It's the TV BS *** monkey crap. Want 10K, step in at 5K even if it's worth 15.
Plus now there's all the taxes you have to pay and keep track of.I quit selling on EBay 10 years ago when fees went up
That sounds Big familiar. What I can’t stand, if somebody wants an item I’m selling and want me to hold it so they can resell it. After six weeks or so when they can’t resell it they say that they don’t want it anymore.
That sounds Big familiar.
Glad I'm not the only one who does that.when people ask " What is you bottom dollar?" I reply what is your top dollar?
Glad I'm not the only one who does that.
I just love the low ballers, like I need the money. I’ve been listing and selling cars for a friend for the last 6 months. I have a car listed right now for $400, just a parts car, but we’ll worth the price if you need it, and it’s complete. I get an offer from a kid I know, but he doesn’t know me…$100. I tell him what he already knows, scrap is $240/ton right now and my buddy just wants me to scrap it, but I felt that maybe somebody could use it for parts. The kids family owns a scrap yard, why would I drop the price $300 for him to make money on it?

Too bad You're not closer....that an '89? @cosgig
$10 tag on a swap meet pulley...Here is $10, SOLD! Thanks. How simple is that? Uh, would you take 8? No. Still pretty simple. I hate haggling. If the guy comes down 20% I feel he was trying to zing someone, ie. me. 20K negotiable...what does that even mean? Start at 20 and expect a counter offer of 16 to meet in the middle at 18? F that, that's why I bought the last 4 used cars are carmax. Price on the window is what it is. No greasy salesman stroking his sales manager 'on your behalf' to unload a car they bought for 60% of the asking price at auction. Last car I sold for $4000. Fist thing I asked the guy when he showed up: Do you want to buy this car for $4000? Uh.....no. Thanks, have a nice day. Still pretty simple. When I did buy a car off another person. I looked at it, determined $2800 was too much (a beater 4cyl truck) and said, thank you for your time and walked away. The guy quickly lowered his price 20%. I stopped, took a closer look and pointed out a few things that made me not want it. ie 4 bald $$ 34" tires and a steering wheel that had 4" of play in it plus a cab full of trash (?). He came down another $200 on his own, and I still walked. Those tires would have cost me plenty to replace. Looking back, it was a pretty cool Ford Ranger: 2.4 EFI, Recaro buckets. Plastic front fenders, 4" lift. Something just didnt feel right about it or the seller, probably his lack of teeth or his constant nervous tick.
Use your IGNORE function on the site for people like that.Listed a car for sale at 13K FIRM... got told that it was an 8K car and best he could do from someone on this site (known flipper)...
