I did something stupid

I don't think he could refund if he wanted to. He sold because he needed the money.

At this point, I really don't want the car and will probably dump it for 50 cents on the dollar as fast as I can.
Can you post it here, with a request that the buyer goes and gets?

The money at this point, is irrelevant. I'm willing to write it off as a lesson.
All right now... yes this sucks, but the game ain't over and the lesson is already learned! There has to be a way to salvage this. I'm sure your pissed/ bummed/ over it. But Don't Quit now!

I momentarily forgot my unblemished record and decided to do something I'd wanted to do for 20 years. As always, reality whacked me hard.

Can a member from here, go get it and store it for a bit til you can figure out what to do/maybe help sell it from there if it has to come to that?

i just rented a pickup here for the trip to drop the parts and pickup the other parts and then rented a uhaul car trailer there and dropped it off at my home .

How bout a small as heck u haul, and a tow dolly? Cheap, at least down here. Oh and Screw Inflation! Seems to be Permeating through out the country

Is there a website where you post loads for guys to bid on hauling. I would think they would have an automotive section.

Between five and six thousand dollars for the rental. Plus $1500+ worth of gas.

Is there a reason you are jumping straight to flushing $3000 down the drain? If someone sent me money to buy something and it fell through then I would have no problem giving them a total or partial refund. Has the seller stated that they are keeping the car and the $3000?

No, but I don't think he HAS the money. He sold because he needed it. I'm 100,000% willing to write it off because he needs the money and I forgot how stupid I am. That was money I'd budgeted for an A body. Since I'm not going to get one when this implodes, it's no big deal.
