Anyone have any recommendations for an air compressor that will do a good job with HVLP paint guns? Needing to get one that won’t break the bank to install in this barn

Hey @toolmanmike

I appreciate the call out in this, but I did not make the picture, it's just one I saw on here and saved for reference... (I don't to take credit for someone else's work when I didn't do it...)

I just reposted it for others to benefit from...

What ever you buy, THE MAX PSI is not the important spec. It is CFM At 60 or so psi. It needs a belt, no airless will deliver good CFM. A large tank is just a crutch of low flow. Look for a good used one. They are out there.....ones that were north of a grand new, for a few hundred dollars.... you have 220 in your new shop?

Like this for 300 bucks

but you do not need a two stage compressor. Where one piston is smaller then the other...

Rained this morning. Dried up. Now thundering and starting to pour... Got one of my outside jobs off the list in between. Took out this almost dead Lilac and put a new plant in its place. Just a little thing (behind the Marigold)some kind of 'Milkweed' that is supposed to kill Lantern flies and stink bugs if they munch on it. Hopefully it survives the winter. Mae isn't sure if it is Perenial this far North.

Thanks for reposting. Your's is the one I saved.

Going to check out an s-10 for a chassis donor for Studebaker. 4cyl automatic. It should be a tad better than the one i have,as its very low mileage. So maybe good front end and brakes. Maybe power steering and power brakes and cruise control.$300 is cheap.

Work continues to transform this from an old livestock barn into a shop
