The journeymen when I started in '77 were makin' $10/hr.
And now it's $30 an hour or more and still not enough for a young family I would think.
Youngest son tried out my cheap little chief smoker and did some cream cheese, It's good but needs some Jalapenos.

Yeah I didn’t think it turned out too bad. Considering my only tools are a hammer and a 2x4 to make that since the squatters stole everything

I find angle iron gives you a sharper bend.

Carburetor/Air Cleaner clearance device?
I took two 30” round tubing of different diameters, welded to a 2x2 square tube same length and
Welded together with a small gap. A pipe anvil, great for bending sheet metal where you need a radius.

I did the same thing a long while back. Works good, but it was too small for this job,
I had it converted to a single pump when the initial build was done
Ummm I’ve never heard of that being done successfully while maintaining the pushbutton function. Really curious how that would be possible
I'll have to ask the guy who built it...
And I bet they don't pay all the benefits like they did in 66, either.
