Stop in for a cup of coffee

Jodi leaves Sunday for a week to babysit Grand kids while parents take some much needed vacation. One just got promoted to E8 the other is a E7. Lots of work pressure plus trying to meld two sets of children. They need a break. I am cooking up a weeks worth of chow so I don’t even have to cook! Deer burger that will become burritos, followed by fried taters and onion with sausage that will become breakfast burritos! Cooking for the week ? Done!

I bet that's a fun kitchen to cook in. It's so new that you need to keep it clean.

Speaking of deer, Andy said I should raid his freezer. I brought home some deer sticks today. Regular, jalapeno, and honey/pineapple. I noticed some jerkey and summer sausage in there too. It's really good stuff. A Mennonite locker north of here does it. Fast and reasonably priced.

Lauren just mentioned that her instructor at Jr College is interested in her assistant teaching. I hope that works out or works into something else.

Tasting with Travis at 6. I have been sampling here to find a bottle or two to take over. It's tough because he has 500+ and Don has probably 7 or 800. Ted and I are beginners with 375 each! It's like, what do you get a guy that has everything. This one is interesting.

Well full disclosure, that’s the dogs job! We decided no carpet in the house and went with ceramic tile. Smartest thing we have ever done. I pimped that out as I did not have confidence in my ability as I had never mortared in ceramic tile? Long story short, I spill anything at all and one simple command and I have a hound cleaning the floor. Honking brilliant I tell ya!

Got some of the interior done. Have to take it apart, as a fella started at the back and moved forward, but no its front trim then back trim then b pillar trim. Headliner was recovered, and not trimmed, or even finished for that matter. That’s my job i guess.
Next is go vote for our provincial election then wing night at the local gas bar/lounge/restaurant/ laundrumat/hotel. Then car club meeting.

That's a tough one Mike, good luck on your pick.

So! what's for dinner tonight? I took leftover meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy and made a stew. Ran out of biscuits so Ritz crackers works.

Home after my doctor's appointment. Went and picked up a dozen number one jimmies to cook for dinner. But I was so hungry. I ate a whole bag full of Chick-fil-A on the way home. Anyhow, the crabs are almost done and we're going to drink a few beers and eat crabs a little bit for me.

Sounds good and much better than my leftover Suprise.

Wyatt and I stopped for Arby’s and I came home to paint. It was just us two tonight. My husband is away on business this week.

The crabs are done. I know you all will find this funny. They have crabs in the river where I live in Vietnam. First time she ordered them and we ate them together. I told her I had no idea how to pick a crab. I've been living in Maryland for 50 years. Lol. I still haven't let on to her that I know how to pick a crab. We'll see how long that lasts. Kkkkkk

How was the DMV?
Well since I'm an old guy, many things have changed with the DMV. She could not take the aptitude test today because they found out that she has a current driver's license from Vietnam. If that is the case and you have a license from a different country, they make you take a 3-hour drug and alcohol test online and bring a certificate in before you can take the comprehensive test or the driving test. But the bonus is....... I got the title work done for my motorcycle, and got and historic tag for it. Bonus, bonus, bonus. No. Maryland safety inspection for motorcycle with historic tag. Therefore, I don't need to install any turn signals

After work I finally cleaned my Scamp inside an out. She was pretty dirty but now looks presentable.
