Just finished up the torqstorm install on the 360 magnum in my 1971 Scamp. Need to dial the tune in quite a bit but it’s good enough to idle for now. Uploaded a short idling clip to my YouTube.

That looks great! Super clean install. I'm looking forward to seeing how she runs after tuning. Which ECM are you using? Will you spray any Methanol?

I'm curious as to the source for the air hat and ovalized transition from the round boost tube to that hat on the throttle body? I need one for my build.

Using holley terminator X for engine management. First thought was to use an air to air intercooler. However, I have no room for that. I need to plumb an IAT sensor to the tophat to see what my intake air temp is. I’ll go from there as far as how high they get and what I can do to drop them. My car has dual functional hood scoops. The scoop on the passenger side feeds right down into the filter off the Back of the blower head

I've noticed Summit has not been carrying the Third Gen Holley Terminator setups. I imagine retrofitting the LS stuff over to Mopar is a lot more affordable.

It sounds pretty healthy without the supercharger. A friend put one on a older Mustang. Scary fast. He had a real hard time keeping the tires under it.

I’ll add in some offset spring hangers to give me just a little more clearance for a wider tire. That’s about all I can do, short of tubbing it (which I do not want to do).

Just respect the power. Don't wrap it around a tree.

Can you fit 275’s under a scamp with those offset hangers? Pick some nice drag radials and you’ll be fine. Very nice setup!

Photos of exhaust layout under car are much appreciated. That's a VERY nice setup.
Why did you choose that over a procharger?

I am not sure. Currently has 255/60r15 on a 15x8 with whatever the mopar police steel wheel backspacing is (can’t remember the spec) and it’s close to the outer quarter skin. 275s may fit but it’ll have to be the right wheel offset and it’ll be very tight.

Procharger cost was substantially more than the torque storm kit. I’ve found torque storm to have good customer service and they manufacture every kit to order here in America. I believe this is the only pic of the exhaust that I have, hangs a little lower than my liking, thinking about putting aar style mufflers on it as these dynomax race bullets are quite loud.

I'm running 275/60-15's on my '68 Barracuda. They never rub.

Evan, a few questions, did you add (or measure) ring gap? The two magnums I’ve measured had big ring gaps stock, like in the .028-.031 range. The one I just did was .030 across the board. What fuel are you running?
I’ll be interested to see what the torquestorm can do boost wise and very interested in the air temp testing if you can get accurate data. On a 350isn NA engine I’ve heard they struggle to make 8 or so, but then you see Steve Morris and his twin setup making north of 1000 on big cubic inches. Nice work and keep the thread going, please.

I have not opened this engine yet. Only pulled the intake and front timing cover to swap the cam. This magnum was swapped in this car during the late 90s. Wasn’t driven very often after the swap (not sure how many miles the engine has but it couldn’t be many).

Car is running 93 octane pump gas

I plan on picking up another 360 magnum to put together on the side. It will go in the car at a later date.

I still need to get an IAT bung to tig weld into the throttle body hat. I won’t be running an intercooler due to space restrictions (unless I can figure out where to squeeze one with minimal cutting).

However, I plan on fabbing up an aluminum shroud to surround the air filter off the back of the blower head, it’ll be setup in such a way that the passenger side hood scoop will feed it ram air while driving.

I also need to find a dual inlet catchcan that way I can run a hose from each valve cover to vent the crankcase pressure. Currently trying to find a fitting that will fit snuggly into the rubber valve cover grommets of the magnum valve covers

Motion race works has em. Not cheap though. They have a nice catch can also, again not cheap but very nice. My experience with centrifugal superchargers is limited but I did have one (vortec V1) on a mustang once and at about 11 pounds it started making big time heat and stopped making power. The hp/psi went away quickly. That one was non intercooled as well.

Anything you can do to get cool air in will definitely help. I like that idea.
