I've seen the 3 drilled holes for external balance but this has 2 shallow scallops. They're only about 1/32" deep each. Seems more like the cuts would only be enough to balance it to neutral . There's not any casting number. Is this a big block thing?

Sounds like you have no idea what this is off of

Let's start with how many starter teeth and what clutch bolt pattern?

Did you remove it from a vehicle? Do you have the bell that it was with?

You gotta casting number? I'm thinking since the scallops are all the way out, that it's a different style of external balance. Adding or removing weight that far out makes a bigger difference.

It came from the bottom of a parts hoard....the owner passed away. It's a 130 tooth 10.5

"nce it to neutral . There's not any casting number. Is this"

The cuts are so shallow, I couldn't imagine they would balance the internals...idk

Ok. Well you seem to know what it is so have at it.

The scallops were done to neutral the wheel...but it also has the holes for the 70-2 HR 440 engines. So it is NOT neutral balance. See pic attached.

Oh wow, I was betting on it being neutral balance. I wondered what those two innocent looking holes were about. I'll have to study on this. So those extra holes make it an external balance..wow, thanks Dan
