Did anyone have a vibaration that was caused by unilug wheels like Cragar ?
I've never run unilugs and I've never trusted them. Every time you bolt them on, they are in "a little" different position, due to the oval holes. Dedicated bolt patterns are much better.
I'm glad you've had good service from them.not so fast my friend :
< I`ve been running a pair of 15 x 8 1/2'' wide unilugs on the back of my 68 fast back, Dana 60,Detroit locker, 505'',727, with 295 60 d15 hoosiers , ''8 1/2'' is the minimum'' for that size tire , Been about 7-8ish years now.
I cut down the long shank open end lugnuts from my weld Drag stars in my lathe to fit fully w/o bottoming out , have had NO vibrations or coming loose at all (supposedly 703 h.p.) by a ''18 time Wally'' holder freinds computer software, also the same results with the best h.p formula out there , but no dyno to back it up ....
The lugnuts fit pretty tite against the outer end of the unilugs holes .
What is wild about this is , a member on here gave the wheels to me for the price of shipping , he was in Florida at the time , he said they had been laying around his garage in the way for years and wanted them out of the way . I cant remember who he was , as I let them set around in my garage for about 71sh ? years before I decided to try them ...
A big thank you to him , hope he is still active on here and reads this !
they evidently are 4 1/4'' and 4 12'' unilug:I'm glad you've had good service from them.
