what are your guys thoughts on this brake kit? when i ordered the HDK torsion bar eliminator kit i ordered it for the bigger ball joints. and also does anyone know if this brake booster setup will work?
Nope no need to cut the tube mine is in and lots of clearance........ pipes to shaft not so much. Seen guys with other kits have to relocate the tube in the fire wallI think the bigger advantages to moving the engine forward is to clear the IC manifold on the HC supercharger which also makes the SRV module on the 6.4 intake fit, to clear the oil filter mount and to make the low mount AC compressor work on the later VCT motors. I haven't set a column in my car, but I expect to still end up cutting the tube back, even with the 1.75" forward location the Holley mounts give. So I think it is more than making the steering column fit.
Is it a 7 inch booster? Seen plenty guys running 7 inch booster no issues. I am hanging on Dr Diff as he does a B body bracket for the A body that sits booster even higher to clear big valve covers etc but none until end of yearwhat are your guys thoughts on this brake kit? when i ordered the HDK torsion bar eliminator kit i ordered it for the bigger ball joints. and also does anyone know if this brake booster setup will work?

looks like its a 8" booster. so a 7" might fit?Is it a 7 inch booster? Seen plenty guys running 7 inch booster no issues. I am hanging on Dr Diff as he does a B body bracket for the A body that sits booster even higher to clear big valve covers etc but none until end of year
yeah mine sits like this now that i moved the motor forward.Another advantage of moving the engine forward, Here is my sons 69 Barracuda with stock windshild wiper motor.View attachment 1716473448
i asked this exact question on the hemi swap fb page and most guys were running 7 inch boosters with clearance. You can run an offset bracket if just running master cylinder no boosterlooks like its a 8" booster. so a 7" might fit?
i did find a 7" looks like pretty much same setup.
Pardon Our Interruption...
I have a 6.4 in a 69 Dart on a /6 k member and Schumacher mounts. My TTi shorties fit perfect. Same car, with a 5.7 mock up at one point and TTi long tubes also fit great. Not one ding needed anywhere.so swapped oil pans and test fit the motor today. didnt have the trans bolted up. man thats a tight fit. i dunno if its cause im using a 6 banger k member with the schumacher mounts or what but man i dunno what kinda headers are gonna fit besides the log style. i will be goin coil over up front so not gonna have the torsion bars. also i guess i need to do the runner flap thing delete cause that thing was not fitting with the wiper motor. unless theres a different wiper motor people swap to? besides that gotta start cutting up stuff now.

i was looking at that one but dont see it on his site. man i kinda wish it test fit the motor and trans first instead of just cutting the tunnel out as much as i did. oh well. live and learn. The Hemi Denny trans mount is nice, Kinda pricey. Just finished installing it yesterday. Today between other tasks I'll start on the tunnel rebuild. It'll be a little tricky because the original console is being retained.

thanx. i appreciate it. 3rd gen was fun but living in socal and having to deal with smog and stuffi just didnt feel like worrying about it. buddy in TN bought it off me and him and his wife love it.This thing is gonna be sweet. Also cool seeing the 3rd gen and your brother’s srt4. Keep it up.
i cant wait. my buddy thats gonna tune it is the one who told me to go with the 8hp. i kinda wanna figure out a wat to do paddle shifters but without having wiring hanging down. You will be happy with the 392 & 8 speed especially in track mode
Looks like you did not have to cut that much from the trans tunnel...The Hemi Denny trans mount is nice, Kinda pricey. Just finished installing it yesterday. Today between other tasks I'll start on the tunnel rebuild. It'll be a little tricky because the original console is being retained.

Call Denny or send him an email if your interested.i was looking at that one but dont see it on his site. man i kinda wish it test fit the motor and trans first instead of just cutting the tunnel out as much as i did. oh well. live and learn.
I have motor mounts that move the engine approximately 1" forward and the Hemi Denny trans mount, both are relatively new. I couldn't find any advice on how much tunnel cutting would be necessary other than Denny saying cutting was minor. I have a close friend who back halves cars on a regular basis and that's minor for him so I decided to wait until installation to find out what minor wasLooks like you did not have to cut that much from the trans tunnel...
275 is probably fine for me. wanted a nice dish in the back. although i still havent decided on wheels yet.How much tyre are you trying to fit, you can tuck a 275 in there if you have correct wheel offset and offset leaf hangers. I have gone the Dr Diff leaf offset hangers, shortened diff and cut the step lip out of the outer tub to get the look i want. Wheel in my profile pic is what i am running, tubbing feels like a lot of work when already a long list with the 6.4 conversion plus all the body work
ah so you trimmed off all those little extension things hanging off the side of the trans? theres soo many and some stick out kinda far. i might have to trim some of those off too. im either goin to buy a universal tunnel kit or i was kinda thinking of getting some steel rods and shape out how i want the tunnel then fill in the spots with some 16g steel plate.I have motor mounts that move the engine approximately 1" forward and the Hemi Denny trans mount, both are relatively new. I couldn't find any advice on how much tunnel cutting would be necessary other than Denny saying cutting was minor. I have a close friend who back halves cars on a regular basis and that's minor for him so I decided to wait until installation to find out what minor was. Before installation a lot of protrusions on the transmission that are not used with MOPARs were removed. Upon installation the trans was pushed up until it contacted the tunnel. With that I could determine what to remove. With the tunnel removed most of the mount could be installed but the hoop required some vertical cuts. Once the new tunnel is rolled the original tunnel will be cut a little lower than it is now. All in all this is a lot less than some of the nightmare stories I've heard.
guess ill message him again. we were talkin for a bit when i ordered his torsion bar eliminator kit. was having issues sending his instructions to my email for some reason.Call Denny or send him an email if your interested.
it's not really worth anything, but if you're gonna straight scrap it i'll swing by and help you move it right into the back of my truck ;Dalso is the stock front drum setup and this tiny diff worth anything? do i need anything off that stuff? if not im probably just gonna put it out in the front yard for scrappers to take.
im swapping out to the bigger balljoint and lug pattern stuff up front and got a 8.8 for the rear i need to modify.
