You are right and I have used Pete because of knowledge and customer service. It is truly top notch.thay may be the case..
No, they're the same business (been around since 1965). Their distribution center was in Warren (your 2nd screenshot) and closed down apparently around the start of the pandemic. They still have the shop in Troy (your first screenshot). They never made springs though. They bought them from a supplier and re-sold them. You must’ve called John R Spring and Tire, they’re a different store.

The one I went through John R Spring service must be closed, their numbers don’t work at all.

How did you get a hold of them, both their numbers are disconnected. you said the one you called never sold leaf springs, I bought springs from them, check the screenshot I posted of the springs on the webpage. No, they're the same business (been around since 1965). Sort of like when I bought Dana rear from Dr Diff. Dr Diff tells Strange what to build instead of a dummy like me trying to figure it out. Then rear shows up it bolts right in and everything works like it should
The main shop is still around in Troy. I found the number on google and called them. The guy who works in their suspension group there has been around forever and will tell you that their national distribution center (in Warren) is no longer around. Sure, the website is still up, but even the phone number is disconnected, as you discovered. I've bought springs from them in the past too - that's why I called them last week. They can still get springs for you, but you're better off going directly to the source that they'd get them like General Spring in KC. If fact, they used to get them from overseas sources. That's exactly what the gentleman told me.How did you get a hold of them, both their numbers are disconnected. you said the one you called never sold leaf springs, I bought springs from them, check the screenshot I posted of the springs on the webpage.
What number did you call?
They made overseas that explains why they can’t get them for a reasonable price.
This sucks. I was wanting to buy a spare in case prices shot up.
I'm guessing they sold out first. What's REALLY odd and doesn't make sense....
Espo is discontinuing what are easily the most popular spring products. E bodies. Mustangs. Performance springs.
I read your post wrong, I thought you were saying sold springs, but you said made spring.said that they never made springs.
Lol at all the SS spring haters for them being made in Mexico. You are paying 3x the price for Chinese springs!!!The main shop is still around in Troy. I found the number on google and called them. I always thought they did make them. That's why I called them. Apparently they never did though.I read your post wrong, I thought you were saying sold springs, but you said made spring.
When I bought my first set, that’s what they told me too.I always thought they did make them. That's why I called them. Apparently they never did though.
Well, FINDING someone as you said to do it "correctly" and with the proper know how will cost as much or more than new leaf springs. BUT, if new ones aren't available anymore, then there you go.

Just up the road from Sacramento. I usually make my midway stop at the HIE there when I’m heading north or south on I-5.Trucks as far as the eye can see. If you ever use canned tomatoes from PCP, chances are they were grown in my back yard.

I have never actually been on any of the discussion boards before but I when searching ESPO Springs going out of business I found this thread and I wanted to clear something up after seeing one of the posts questioning why. The why is we are 60 and 64 years old and leaf springs are very heavy and bulky and labor intensive. As you've noticed we are 5 months behind now on them and we just can't keep doing this so made the conscious decision to stop before we hurt ourselves. It'll take us years to run out of the inventory we have except for the most popular vehicle which unfortunately covers the A Bodies, B Bodies and E Bodies. The only ones we can still do on them are the small block 5-leaf ones. We are still selling coil springs, shackles, bushings, ubolts and front end parts, just not the leafs as we run out of product. Hope this helps clear things up. We really appreciate all our customers through the years and we are sad to have had to make this decision to give up leafs as they our biggest sellers. What's REALLY odd and doesn't make sense....

We did not get springs from John R. There is so much misinformation on the internetNo wonder ESPO stopped selling leaf springs if John R Spring Service is out of business.

That would be me that answered. I do all phones, chats, emails and internet. I answer as soon as I can days, nights, weekends and even holidaysThank you for taking the time to clarify. I reached out for a quote and SOMEONE took time to reply after hours on a Friday night. Once I figure out what I need, if you have it, you have my sale.
