What do you guys think about filling in the holes and leaving it steel? Would that just make it a 65 dash? Are not dash pads extremely expensive?

I havent seen many dash pads that didnt have cracks, and the ones that didnt were pretty expensive. With mine, Im filling the cracks and getting it nice and smooth and covering the whole thing with leather. Was yours missing or is it still laying around?

I recieved a package from "Slanty Claus" today at Small Blks and what a great suprise! A set of the plastic pieces that go under the rear window in the back. Mine are shot and I am not sure how he found out but I think it was 340 6pack. Thank and I owe you one! There are some great people here

Tony, the best part about our builds is the only schedule we need to keep to is the one we impose on ourselves. Seems they are always getting "adjusted" depending on what life brings our way each day. Things start moving along fast when we least expect it.

I know it Ron but this seems like it's taking forever! Since I was sick I have only had one full week, that is very unusual for us here. I am not complaining mind you, there are alot of folks alot worse off than me. I am just itching to get in after it if you know what I mean!

Hey Tony, take your time and just keep plugging away when time, parts and money are feasable! You,ll get er done!:thumblef:

I know exactly what you mean my friend. The infamous catch 22.... when you have the $ you dont have the time and when you have the time you dont have the extra $. Hang in there, heres to hoping it breaks loose soon!

Hey Tony, I know what you mean too, it took me 10 years to get Wendy's car to the point where it is now, and there were some very anticipated moments along the way. The thing that kept me going through the valleys was the pride in the fact that I could look at the car through pictures and see my progress from where it was when I got it to where it was when i was working on it. That and a little mock-up fun along the way to see how it was going to look when I got something else done. I thought that only I mocked up items and enjoyed looking at the future, but my Harley buddy has mocked up bikes all over his shop, just to get the feel of an idea or a look at an idea. Keep up the good work, we're all patiently waiting to see your progress as it happens!!! Have fun with it, you're doing a fine job!!! Geof

Thanks for the encouraging words guys, it means alot to know you have all been there. Most of my problem is due to self induced impatience.

What helped me Tony, was writing needs down on a list and checking off as I went.It helped me to not overlook and forget things!Must be getting old!Pace yourself, and don,t loose interest!

No chance on that, I was hoping to have her up for MMW, and I haven't givin up on that yet. I am thinking I can be back to work on her in a week or two.

Petty, we yankees up here in the nawth probably wouldn't have heard of MMW (monster mopar weekend) since it is in St. Louis, but it sounds like a party for sure. Everytime I see a post on FABO from someone in the mid-states, they always refer to MMW as the meet they are going to. If you want to meet a lot of FABO'ers, it sounds like the place to go. If you're going, swing by and pick me up, I'd love to go and meet and greet some of the friensd I've made here!!! Geof

I got a couple car's that don't have the dash pad's they look fine without them and the florida heat can really tear them up fast, even the dash cap thingies can get ruined quickly.Keep up the good work!!!
