Now so as to hopefully qualify this post for this Forum i dont think it's political and it's not news and so it would seem to be General Discussion so lets try it here and maybe no one will get their feelings hurt.
True human race? I guess it would make a difference what country we were talking about as there are many races, all good, in the global world. Back in the day when i was in school the teachers and books taught us that America was the "Smelting Pot" as many people of all races were migrating to the U.S. and of course all races were marrying and having off spring. What is a true race? When the pilgrims came to , what they called, "America" they found indians. Had they ALWAYS been here? Were they the original race? Maybe not. In China the true human race would mean something different to them. In Africa it would also have a different meaning to the people in that country. Austrailia is interesting also as to my recollection the British found a remote island where they shipped their convicts to rid England of their problems. I think it was occupied at the time by, what, maybe Aboriginees? Not sure myself. Maybe some one here did better in history than i. You know there are those that do the geneology thing and track their ancestors way back in time and my mother has done the same and my ancestory goes back to Irish on my dads side and indian on my mothers side. My grandmothers real name was "Sunshine". Sounds Indian to me. So what was the true, pure race. Can anyone put their finger on it? Maybe not. Were we decendants of the caveman? History teaches that the first real civilization was the Roman Empire. I may be wrong and if so clue us in. I'm asking, not telling. I'm curious. We know there were people before the Romans, maybe just not civilized. So now we have many different races with many different languages. Different races speak different languages. The original race spoke what language? What ever it was it broke off into different forms of "pig latin" for the sake of a real term. I read that the language issue came into play when folks began to build a tower to heaven and so as to disrupt this effort their speach or languages were confounded so they were unable to interact thus haulting the project. Were Adam and Eve the first people or were their cave men before them. I've read that Man was made in the image of God so what race were they? What color skin did they have and what language did they speak? Were they the "True Human Race"?

I have been all over the world and this great land and my experience is that Dr King hit it right out of the park.

No matter where I have gone I have found that about 5% of any population are people that the world would be better off without. On the other end about another 5% or so are those who choose to be the very best among us and redeem us as a whole. The other 90% or so are those of us who make up most everyone else.

Thus far I have found absolutely NO correlation between race, religion, color, creed, language or geographic point of origin and the nature of the human condition.

Like the good doctor said, not the color of your skin, but the content of your character.

I’d say, then, that the true human race is every last one of us.

My two cents: -LY

Quote = what they called, "America" they found indians. Had they ALWAYS been here? Were they the original race?

My thought's on this Bill is that Hebrews was put on a ship that they did not know how to drive, And the promise land was found and was bountiful of running water and fruit
A heck of allot better than where they was.:-D

Look at the native clothing :read2: Looks like Hebrews to me8)

We were all made in the image of God.
Too bad everyone want's to kill eachother because they think their race or religion is better or more superior.

Fighting will always go on until God puts an end to it.

I know there are alot of people who hate me because of my skin color, but if that same person who just spit in my face the day before were drowning, I would be the first to jump in and save him.
I will represent God and true human nature in that way as we are all brutha's no matter how you spell it.

Lone Yankee is exactly right. No matter where you go, most people want exactly the same thing. Three squares a day, a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and a better life for your children than you had. The other stuff is just garbage to make someone feel superion. Dr. King was a great man with a beautiful dream.

The problem with your question is that the term "human race" is an antiquated term that is misused when we should use the term "human species". There are minor regional variations (races if you will) among the "human species" homo sapiens, but with so little genetic difference that they are inconsequential.

There are those of us who drive MOPARS (Human), and those who drive something that's not MOPAR (Sub-Human) It's really pretty simple.

Adriver: Great find there and some very interesting reading if i might say so myself. I forgot about the Noah factor. He seems to go with the theory that we all are decendants of Adam and Eve and then the flood destroyed the earth and that made us all decendants of Noah and his boys. I don't think however he addresses the race of Noah. He did mention that God made Adam in his own image. I wonder what race Noah was? Thanks Driver for your contribution. Hypermite you may be onto something yourself. That's funny.

I think in a few thousand years most of the current "races" of people will disappear due to interbreeding and humans will all probably look like a mix of white, asian and a bit of black. Beyond that though genetic engineering, advances in robotics, nanotechnology and computer processors will probably lead to a post human race of super intelligent cyborgs who have IQ's that make Einstein look like a dunce, Olympian level athletic abilities, supermodel looks and who will have life times spanning 150 + years.

Interesting stuff there sic71. You speak of "in a few thousand years".....Will it all be around in a few thousand years? This world and all of it's evil were destroyed several years ago leaving only Noah and his bunch and when you look out and see a rainbow, it's a reminder that the world will never be destroyed by water again...however in my readings it is mentioned that the next time the world is destroyed it will be with "fire and brimstone". Sounds Nuclear to me. Now lets not forget Hitler who was trying to create a "Superior Race". Sorta like breeding cattle with super genetics which i've been involved with also. Kinda make us come back to the first question. What was the first breed of cattle or what was the first race? What race was Adam? What race was Noah? We may never know.

More food for thought...the human genome project was finished a while back. Scientist believe all our ancestry traces back to Africa. There are no 'races.' An eastern European could have more chromosomes in common with an Asian or an African person than another eastern European, i.e. you can be closer genetically to someone with a completely different ethnic background than to someone who looks like you. The changes in pigmentation and other characteristics arose from migrations into different environments.

Of course I completely respect those of you out there who have other beliefs.

History teaches that the first real civilization was the Roman Empire.

I think Rome was founded around 500BC. The Greeks were before them, and the Egyptians date back 5000 to 5500 years. They built the tallest structures in the world, and retained that status until the Eiffel tower was constructed.

Very interesting topic, I would have to say that the Romans were not the first real civilization. The Roman Empire was a large civilization but not the first major one. The Romans stole allot of culture, technology, architecture, social traits, ect...from the Ancient Greeks, which was a highly advanced civilization... especially known for logic and philosophy (think Socrates). Some of the best architecture ever to be made in my opinion. There were more civilized cultures before the Greeks. Possibly one of the earliest "civilized" cultures being somewhere along the Babylonians???

Yes I believe the ancient egyptians dated before the ancient greeks, but if I remember correctly there were a few even older "civilized" societies before the egyptians.

The fist "civilized" civilization was Mesopotamia, often called the cradle of life, because thats where most ideas, religions and people started. (forgive my if I'm wrong here, trying to remember back to 6th grade history :read2:)

As for the tower to heaven, that would be the tower of Babel, where the then united race tried to build a tower that reached the heavens, and glorify themselves. God saw what they were doing, came down and confounded all of the languages, and scattered the people around the earth. You can read more in depth here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_babel

Now, this is just my own belief, and I'm definately not trying to push it on anyone else, just telling what the Bible says...

There are several ruins of advanced cities that date back even farther. Well over 6,000 years. There is one, the name of which escapes me, where the building methods were so precise that they make the work of the Egyptians look like sand castles. There is another in the Bolivian Andes called Tiahuanacu. Scientists are still debating it's age but most opinions are in the range of 12,000 - 15,000 years ago. It was once a thriving seaport but the nearest water is now 15 miles away and it is over 12,000 feet above sea level. There are also recently-discovered ruins in various undersea locations that range from 7,000 - 9,500 years old. There are also researchers who point to evidence of an even older culture which existed on Antarctica. Who knows how many others are yet to be discovered or have disappeared forever.

I am still here 8) That's about all I know:-D

I was speculating on the first civilized society and yes the Egyptians we what we may call civilized and were before the Romans. Location, Location, Location. For the focus on Adam and Eve, where was the garden of Eden located in our world today? What about Mt Ararat where the ark landed? What country is that in? Is it Turkey? This might give us some insight as to maybe the "Original Race". Great input from all of you GREAT thinkers and believe it or not, it has remained civil. Good on all of you.
