    Thoughts on this 1967 Dart Convertible

    I honestly don't know what to make of this car ... MPH speedometre seems out-of-place ( "should" be KPH , I believe ) , to begin with ; everything else is just so odd to me on this thing ! I'm thinking that you have a "CKD" (Complete Knock-Down) built Dart from South Africa , if anything . The...

    Outrageous overbill by Kanter Automotive

    I see what's most-likely a mistake in billing on the rebuilder's end ... One of the rebuilder's staff (e.g. , their billing department) mistakenly sent the wholesale invoice to you instead of sending said invoice to Kanter's . Sounds to me like this potential mistake ended up screwing Kanter's...

    @ 1958 M-E-L 430 Tri-Power !

    I mainly posted this for its induction system : Holley 2300-Series 3x2Bbl ... ... sound / look familiar at all ?

    @ 1958 M-E-L 430 Tri-Power !

    One of the most beautiful engines ever produced : 1958 M-E-L (Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln) 430 V8 and its "Super" package . It was rated at 400 hp , with that trio of Holley 2300 Series mixers . I *believe* that someone's running one in F.A.S.T. ; a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser , if I remember...

    reported outbreak of barret jackson syndrom in OK

    Engines , etc. , didn't have any ties to their designated vehicle via sequence number / plant code , until '69 or '69 ( i.e. , no such a thing as "matching numbers" until '68 or '69 ). I thought that disc brakes (non-assist) were mandatory with the 383 in 1967 , and were optional in '68 and '69 .

    For "Bonnie" the Kitten ...

    Here's a link to Anakin : the Two-Legged Kitty page . Anakin was born sans his hindquarters ! This birth defect doesn't appear to affect him one iota ; he gets around on his hands ( I refer to cats' and dog's "front legs" and "feet" as arms / hands for the simple fact that they have thumbs...

    running race gas

    I can't believe the stupidly low prices some of you are paying for REAL gasoline (i.e. , leaded hi-test stuff !) ! Out here in "Brown's-Ville" ( I call it that because of that *** hat Jerry Brown ) , 100 octane pump gas (yes , it's unleaded ; and yes , it's got that damned alcohol @ 10% in it...

    Low-to-No-Options / Unusual Option(s) ...

    I'd have to say that the strangest and rarest options I've ever seen in person were : - 1970 Charger R/T with the R20 "Radio Ready Package" ( included every-thing except the receiver ! Car had speakers , antenna and all the wiring !). - 1973 Scamp with a factory hardtop sunroof (!!) . I...

    Low-to-No-Options / Unusual Option(s) ...

    I don't believe that outside rear view mirrors were required until the 1965 calendar year (e.g. , 01/01/1965 production) , but they were probably integrated by late 1964 ( circa Nov. / Dec. '64 ) . I'd seen a '64 Nova SS with dealer-installed outside mirrors . They were placed out on the...

    Low-to-No-Options / Unusual Option(s) ...

    I'm not sure as to whether or not this topic has been presented here before ; but if it has , then please post a link to its thread ... I'm wondering , what's the most oddball MoPar you've seen in regard to its options or lack thereof . This could obviously include colour combinations as...

    71 EV2 Duster Twister Fold Back Sun Roof

    Congrats on your find ! This particular vehicle exemplifies the era of being able to individually order options : Certainly there were packages ; but for the most part , one started with 4 tyres and a steering wheel , with options stacked-on from there . Where else could one buy a...

    @1967 GT+S in Whittier Ca

    Hmm ... I wonder if the guy that I knew finally restored it , or if he sold it off . Last time I saw the car , it had its original-issue black/gold Ca plates on it .

    @1967 GT+S in Whittier Ca

    Thank you for your replies , RhinoDart and O.C.Dart. O.C. Dart : I didn't realise that Ruby's even existed at Whittwood any-more ! I though that it was sacrificed during the tear-down-and-rebuild of the mall a few years ago . RhinoDart: I have trolled the GTS Registry site , and have not...
