Can a garage be too big?

I beg to differ. Yes they can. Last place I lived I had a 3000sqft garage. Whenever I needed to work on a car there was no room! I have more room to work in my current 2-car than I did in that 15 car. Way more CRAP in the old one, but no more usable space. It's a trap.

Window regulator came apart yesterday on me...

Yeah it would. Problem is I don't know what's good out there. I don't trust Haynes/Chilton for nothin'... and i don't think mopar still makes a full Factory Service Manual like i have for my Neon, do they? Regardless, i had the door panel off but couldn't see anything before. When I didn't...

Window regulator came apart yesterday on me...

how do I reassemble? I can't see crap in the door, would be really useful if someone here has a diagram of how it should work. I've seen pics online from ebay auctions of the part, but can't seem to make it make sense with the parts i've seen in the bottom of my door. Anyone have a shop manual...

    Switched 12v wire color?

And it's only hot when the key is on?! Awesome! Thank you!

    Switched 12v wire color?

Been googling, all I keep finding is "just use a multimeter and check". Before I start poking holes in my insulation, and doing contortions with my back under the dash, I'd rather just ask. Need switched 12v that works anytime the car is running, doesn't need to be hot while cranking. Need it...

Awh man! I let all the smoke out of the wires!

Whooops. Ya get used to working on new metric, plastic cars... and you forget that maybe, just maybe you should disconnect the battery before you deal with the ignition switch. :) Went to pull the gauges to see why the light for my speedo wasn't working. Apparently there's no shroud around...

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

OK, so yeah, just for the next person in my boat, here's how and where to go! Needed: Belts (duh!) 4 1.5" long 7/16th fine thread bolts 4 lock washers. Awl long-nosed pliers. Ratchet with 5/8ths socket. 1: We'll start on the driver's sill; take your awl and aim about 5/8ths of the...

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

W00! Success! 1: Didn't have to pull the seats. 2: Found a reasonable picture to determine where the tunnel bolts were, and took pictures when I was done. I'll update the thread with a how-to setup here when i upload the pictures. :) Wasn't tough, finding where to cut was the hardest part...

    Gauge light bulb spec?

Awesome! I looked for 57s tonight at the parts store... O'Reillys doesn't stock them, apparently. Oh well. As an aside, learned a valuable lesson tonight. When you're used to plastic dashboards you forget that metal dashboards and always-on ignition switches do not mix. I let quite a bit of...

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

Thanks, guys! About to go out and get to work. Didn't realize I was gonna have to pull the seats, but such is life, I guess. I'm just excited to finally get to use some of my SAE tools, all my cars have been metric until now! :)

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

I know where, I just wasn't sure of pitch. Covered my bases by buying coarse and fine. I'll get it figured out.

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

Nah, you guys were right before. I have all 4 belts. They were in a box, in the backseat. I need to install many belts, but it was the front ones I was wondering about at least to start. :)

Installing lap belts w/o going under the car?

I figured there was a higher tech route than that, but guess I'll give it a shot tonight. Anyone know if I need to buy 7/16ths coarse or fine pitch? Sounds like my evening plan is now set in stone, gym, hardware store, garage! Sleep is for the weak! :)
