    push button or floor shifter?

well, I'm not 100% on what is going on with the trans in total. It seemed that the shifter controller allowed the gears to slip, so 2nd and 3rd gear were somehow stuck together, leaving me with 1st and reverse only. my transmission oil is grey/black from whatever got crunched up. Basically I...

    push button or floor shifter?

I recently had some transmission trouble on my '63 push button valiant. Which may or may not be related to the push button controller (type writer) unit. It was suggested to me by a mechanic to just take out the pushbutton and put in a floor shift version. Does anyone have any feeling about...

    push button /904

The shop doesn't want to deal with me, I've been polite and firm, however they have already lost money on my car. I would rather not have them recoup the cost on more work. I am currently looking for another vehicle taking the valiant out of daily driver status, and then I'll do the work myself...

    push button /904

I had some work done recently in a shop due to it being my DD and not having welding equipment for the exhaust flanges. In total, it was a conversion from the stock 1bbl intake and exhaust to a super six with headers. Only major issue that came up was some Y pipe welding and a lokar cable...

    auto shop nightmare rant

Ok, so I was gathering parts for some upgrades to do to my '63 valiant, and grabbed some clifford headers and a super six setup for my /6. After reading and looking at the parts it became apparent that I would be unable to do the work myself due to time constraints and lack of tools. So I call...

    kickdown issues

ok. so i haven't gotten to this correction, yet but, would this affect throttle sluggishness at all? As in, I stomp the accelerator and it bogs out. or is this purely a carb issue?

    K&N air filters

I was just checking to make sure it wasn't another overpriced aftermarket part. airflow and filtering > convenience easily.

    K&N air filters

I've been toying with changing over to one, but wanted some input on the cost. Are they worth it? And do they do what they advertise? My thinking is the lifetime of use makes up for the cost, what do you guys think? -Thanks

    kickdown issues

Here is an image of my throttle/kickdown linkage. The spring in front is a return spring. not sure if that is what you meant though cam64, do i need another spring somewhere?

    kickdown issues

Okay, so I switched out my old 1bbl carter and upgraded to a super six intake and clifford 3 into 1 headers. Along the conversion, I didn't have the actual kickdown linkage and the mechanic used a lokar cable. We also had to swap out the original gas pedal with a newer cable style. Anyway...

    1963-65 valiant/barracuda headlight door/ring

Yeah I actually bought my driver side quarter panel from them and we worked out greyhound shipping along with best offer vs. buy it now and saved 100$ on it. I called on the phone for questions about it and the guy was very helpful. It's a good clean cut too. goes all the way to the weatherstrip...

    Original License plate replacements?

http://www.licenseplates.tv/product_info.php/products_id/1570 I came across that before posting here and had already worked out how to get them to me. They are just expensive and was curious of legal points from there. I figured I could just get them made up with my current number and when I...
