Rick, the engine still pretty cool, in fact when I was done with all of this fooling around (oil fitting business, 3 separate video shoots of the vent & standin' there staring at it for some cyphering time) and shut it down the temp gauge was at ~~150 deg.

The vent has to be open to atmosphere-I closed it off w/my finger and the engine immediately died.

Thank you for posting this! Turns out we have one of the recalled units. Ours runs 24/7 in the basement (machine shop), now will only plug it in when we are home.

No one has brought it up yet so I'll blurt it out-- get your fun side steppin' the clutch at 6 grand>bang the 1-2 & 2-3 with the ratchet shifter to the 727. ClutchFlite accept no substitute.
