anybody there? in 4hrs im moving from bedford indiana to mesa arizona. i only know my sister and mother out there. if any of you fellow mopar guys are in the area message me. i will have zero friends when i get there. i wont have my duster with me yet, ill be getting it later in the summer. thanks
 
Ahh, moving out to the wild Wild West, welcome.
 
Im in the Phoenix area, and I know theres members around in the tempe/mesa area.

Lots of members in the area. AZMOPAR is a good one to get in touch with.
 
Hope you have a better first summer there then I did, 100 + days in a row of 100* or hotter. 143 days without rain one year. Worked in the afternoon, can remember standing in the TV room waiting to go home at mid-night and the temperature still being over 100*. Winter time skies of yellow & brown.... Hope you like people....don't miss Mesa one bit.

Lol!! Tell us how you really feel! I love it out here. To the Op. Look me up when you get out here. I live in Chandler, bordering Mesa. What part of Mesa are you moving too? Mesa is huge! Lol
 
Yup, I have a sister that lives in Mesa, and the heat out there is not for me either.
 
Lol. Ive lived in Phx my whole life and still cant get use to the heat.
 
I'm as white as you can get, and was also born here. Lol
 
Well I made it here. Drove te whole way in my 88 bronco2 with my 5piece snap on box in the back. I like it so far. I'm in queens creek.
 
Heck ya man...good luck out there....Arizona is HOT in the summer.

There are some real Mopar guys out there.....and tons of Mopars around.....you should love it.
 
Well now that you're out here in the wild west, you ought to give some thought to making the drive up to Las Vegas next month for MATS (Moparty At The Strip), March 22-24.
We're planning a FABO Meet'n'Greet for one of the days.
 
Welcome to AZ. If you can make it thru the summers, the winter is worth the wait. I'm done shoveling snow!

when i go down to AZ ppl always come up to me talking spainish .....im not Mexican and i dont know any spainish .....strange

It's hotter where I live now, so it might be a nice break from the heat! LOL

Not necessarily strange. I think that people who have not experienced a lot of cultural and ethnical diversity may take it for granted that you're Hispanic based on your hair and skin color as well the higher percentage of Hispanics in the area. People from other Central and South American countries also have Spanish dialects and similar features. But sometimes it is possible to tell roughly where someone may be from (their ethnic background).

Back on the subject of Mesa, AZ....there is a blue & white Stock Eliminator Duster that's been for sale around there for quite a while. I was kinda interested, but heard through the grapevine that it may have issues with the front frame. Anybody know about or has seen this car first hand?
 
I hope you like hot, I mean like Africa hot. It's so frigging hot there in the summer your gonna freak out. Good luck!! Get air conditioning for your Duster if you don't already have it.
 
ive never had a/c in a car. the duster is in storage at me dads until summer when i can go haul it back. right now im in a p.o.s bronco2. i spent several weeks in haiti last summer and i cant imagine anywhere else could be any hotter.
 
I am in Mesa... As far east in mesa as you can go before it is Apache Junction. which is The Kentucky of Arizona. there are a lot of Az guys and east valley guys. If you need an apartment when you move PM me. I can help you in that area. If youre getting a house. I cant.
