Hello my name is Ann Clise. Artie Clise was my husband. I know late last year he offended a number of you on this website. I wanted to let you know that he had been battling COPD and emphysema for some time. Last year he was in and out of the hospital four times in 5 months. We were told them that we might lose him then. He got better for a few months but then things got worse around September of last year and progressively got worse in November and December. He did not remember things, he was paranoid, and at times down right mean. He did some hurtful things to his family during this time and I know at one point he was banned from your site. This was not the person he truly was. He passed away the beginning of May. He loved Mopar’s and really anything that went fast! He knew a lot about the old cars. I hope this information helps you understand his behavior while I don’t condone it I truly believe he did not even realize what he was doing. I hope you can find in your hearts to forgive his behavior. I have hesitated to post this on your website because of this behavior. But I know that you guys are truly into your Mopar’s/cars and I’m hoping you can help me out.
My purpose in writing is that one I have a motor and transmission he built for is 64 Plymouth Belvedere that I would like to go to a good home. The motor is 512 with Edelbrock heads, 440 source crank, 10/50 dominator carb, new rods and pistons. The tranny is a 4500 stall converter. I know it went down the track once and it ran in the low
12’s. I asking $6,000 for it. Two I a garage full of car items that some of you might be interested in. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely Ann Clise.

Sorry to hear of your husband passing. Do you remember his screen name?
Would you remember if he talked to other members of the board in your area?
Perhaps one of the local Maryland members can help you sought out his stuff and help put things in order to sell here.

Sorry to hear this. I don't know who he is honestly and a screen name may help but I don't remember anyone being mean. I guess it's a bad memory thing. Anyways I wish I could afford the motor but that's not the case. Good luck with the sale and again I'm sorry to hear about your husband!

Ann, please accept our condolences on the loss of Artie. Our thoughts and prayers are with both you and your family during these tough times.
If possible, please post a list of items in the garage that you're interested in selling. If I was closer I'd be happy to help with putting a list together. Hopefully, there are some FABO members close to your Sabillasville, MD, location that can help with posting a list of parts here on FABO.

Artie was a cool old guy. his screen name was godfatherofchry. He will be missed.

Please accept my condolences. Artie's friends here knew it was his illness talking and not him.

ARTIE! I didn't know his last name. And he was banned?! WTF happened there. Artie was a cool dude. I never remember him being mean. I purchased a Poly 318 from him. I went to his (your) house and picked it up. I met your son and we chatted in the garage for a bit. (AKA, a few hours)

Your in the west side of Maryland, correct Ann?

Artie was the real deal and he will truly be missed by those who knew him , whatever he did to get banned is inconsequential compared to all those he helped including myself .

So sorry to hear about Artie. Thoughts and prayers to you and the family and friends.

Aw man. I just thought he was cantankerous, like most of us are from time to time.
Too bad, he was entertaining as well.

Sorry to hear of Artie's passing. Before you sell parts, you should inquire here as to a fair market value and what they fit. I'm sure the members here will help.

My condolences on Artie's passing. If you don't live too far away from me in Maryland, I would be glad to come and see if I can help sort out the Mopar stuff. Mitch

Sorry for your lost. He never rubbed me the wrong way. I never had any problems with Artie.

If I was closer I would help you with the parts.

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully peace can come to you & your family.

This site can assist in your selling -- maybe some members that are close can come by. If your up to that type of assistance.

Lawrence

Artie was a cool guy I will miss him I never knew he was sick as he never mentioned it .

Thank you for your kind words and offers to help. I believe he went by godfatherofchry or godfatherofchrysler. I hate to admit it but I have no clue on what he has in the garage. If any of you who are close would like to come and look I will be thankful for the help. Should I post the sale of the motor in a different section of this website?

Artie was a good guy, we have exchanged messages in the past and was always nice, I figured something was wrong when he got a little mean cause that was not like him. Sorry to hear he passed away and I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully you can find somebody who is honest that will help you sort through the parts, there is value there so don't let it go for nothing or for scrap....good luck and thanks for the update

BTW, for those who don't remember, Artie had a 64 Plymouth Belvedere covered in flames:glasses7:

Artie had a lot of friends here, myself included! He very generously offered the carbeuretor to the Young Guns that Nella ended up winning! I'm very sorry to hear of his passing, and am praying tha God will offer His hand upon the hearts of all affected by his passing to lend peace and comfort! I will be using the carb on Nellas motor and will always remember him fondly! He was a good man, and will be missed here! Geof

just in case people missed it, that's a hardly used 512 c.i. stroker going for 6k

... one hell of a good deal if you ask me

and it comes with a belvedere

Well heck...I am within 100 miles. 84 to be exact. Let me know if I can help. Sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know Artie but any mopar guy is cool in my book.
