I have a 64 Valiant. Its a slant 6, and I want to put in 340 in it. A friend got some early A body metal motor mounts off this site. I bought the rubber part of the motor mounts from Summit racing, and they won't fit the metal brackets my friend got from someone on this site. WHERE CAN I GET THE CORRECT mounts????

Look up PolyBushings.com I used their mounts in my 64 Dart(Slant six) BUT contact them for V8 mounts for your year.

Question: do you have 273 mounts? They wont fit a 340 unless you shim the offending side with a few washers. The rubber/metal insulator should fit if its the offset biscuit type. Bear in mind the oem 64 273 insulator was thick, like 3 inches. Not the thin 1 inch later style. It raises the motor for centerlink clearance.

You can probably use either type of biscuit mount. I had the later thin ones on my 1965 273 (for more hood clearance) until I had to switch to the later Federal p.s. pump which hit the K-frame, so went back to the original thick ones. With the thin ones, I had to **** them so one bump fit in a bracket hole and drilled another hole for the other bump. Might also consider what that does to your driveshaft angle.
