Guys ... who gives a **** about a new smallblock head ???? ... like we don't have enough to choose from .. did we all forget .. we do not have HP blocks that can sustain the high HP and TQ ????????? is somebody going to manufacture an affordable block soon ... doesn't that make more sense ....
 
The only choice I know outside of the discontinued MP blocks are the Ritter blocks.
And I agree with not enough head choices! Even more so now that MP has nothing for us. Just what’s left over.
 
Says works with fel pro 1413 exhaust gaskets.

Looking at the two outside exhaust ports is it realistic that a std port TTI is going to seal. I remember a debacle with an MP magnum head that was hit or miss with header seal.

What ET are you looking to go? Problem is most are happy running 9's, 10's, 11's, or 12's so the market just isn't there. I finally hurt a stock 360 block running 9.70's with a worn out block. I had already rebuilt it 3 times and it was in need of its 4th rebuild and a rod broke. When it broke it hurt the block but I didn't tear it down yet.
 
Maybe I don't. Then tell me this. You have two ports same shape and size except length. One is 2" long one is 4" long. Everything in the heads is the same, valves, bowls, chambers, yada, yada......then tell me, how the port size makes a difference in what the head FLOWS.

I would expect nothing to be different in terms of flow testing on a bench if no shape was altered because it has to go on the intake end of the port. However the volume would be larger when measured. And on a running engine it would behave as if the ports were smaller, as adding to the runner length without making it wider or taller amplifies the low rpm harmonics (2nd & to some extent 3rd harmonic waves).

Now how relevant is your hypothetical? Aside from forcing agreement to your volume statement it's an entirely useless exercise. So "yay, you got me". But who the **** would tack on length to add volume? You think Trick Flow? Come on dude...lol.
 
Anyone heard any updates for this release?? I keep looking on the TF website, but no changes
 
I'm still trying to nail them down on a set for Carlisle this year, at least as a display. Don't know if it's gonna happen.

And was told September this year and getting the heads shouldn’t be a issue
Also was told no magnum version was being considered
Just passing the info along
 
Price i was given on these was 1095 each. That price( version of the offering) includes trick flow( PAC) roller springs good to 680 lift, and quality parts and valve job. setup for mechanical roller cam
I plan on running these heads with a 263/273 Howards roller on a 418 shortblock at about 12.75 compression with those 60cc chambers with around 650 lift.
Should get my 3250-3300 pound car in the low 10’s i would think without working up much of a sweat.
My days of 9’s are over, way more hassle rules wise to go just a bit faster. These heads should be perfect for me in my goal.... i hope
In the meantime keep pecking away with my little 360

Your running 9’s with a 360?

No. My handle on here( and elsewhere) is B3422W5. I campaigned a 70 B3 Duster with a 422x block with W5 heads for many years. That ran 9.80’s
Current car is a 69 Dart with stock 360 shortblock and eddies. Runs 11.20’s, fixing to make it a bit quicker. Tranny and convertor swap
Then install my 418 and trick flow heads on it next offseason, that combo should threaten the 9’s but i have no interest in running quite that fast anymore for all the extra grief it entails
 
If they actually flow anywhere close to those numbers...... those things are gonna put the hurtin on the sales of all the other stock architecture type offerings.

Intake is about the same as a CNC eddy head....the exhaust is a little better...but two different flow benches....who knows what.....

Intakes were tested on a bigger test fixture bore and ex were flow tested with a pipe which always shows a higher number.


Tests conducted at 28" of water (pressure). Bore size: 4.350"; exhaust with 2" pipe.
 
mine were tested by MCH with 4.06 plate and it says w/tube but no dimensions...
 
TF flow numbers are listed as tested on a 4.00” bore, 1-7/8” flow tube on ex.

Valve spring packages are from 1.900”-2.00” installed height, and up to 1.580” diameter.
I assume the specified HS rockers will clear the springs.

Try and get that situation(1.580” spring at 2” installed height) on an RPM head.

Not too mention, if they’re priced similar to the BB heads...... they’ll be less expensive than a set of CNC rpms.

I predict they will fly off the shelves.
 
I realize that Trick Flow is new to many Mopar guys, but all my past experiences with them have been great. Their flow numbers have been pretty accurate, quality top notch, and customer service is excellent. Another thing is that all the assembled heads I've dealt with we're actually ready to run right out of the box. Of course you should always check everything, but so far I personally haven't seen any issues with their products. If this head is as good as their Chevy/Ford stuff, I would think they would make everything else obsolete pretty quickly.
