!!!THERE'S NOTHING IN THERE!!!

What I remember about chicken pot pies is always burning the heck out of my mouth during the first bite.

I do remember opening a very small bag of potato chips (from those variety packs) in the lunch room at work one time and the bag was only filled with air, not one chip.

i dont remember who makes them, but they sell little single portion breakfast "pot pies"

they come with sausage and gravy in them, yum

as for home made, i make mine in the crockpot, but i only make the "filling"
then at dinner time i make some biscuits and ladle the filling right on top, also yum

I am by myself , well, me and the cat, so no need to cook a meal that would feed more than one person, so microwaveble food is the right portion
Rainy, try Sous Vide cooking. Cheap meat, in a ziplock bag for 12-36 hours. ready for you the next day and can eat of of a roast all week. Basically a small hot water heater, in a pot and you cook the meat at the finish temp, typically 135 to 145 degrees, so no over cooking. Just a couple of minutes on a griddle or broil it for some crisp skin.

This is funny! My wife often discusses her son and wife, both 27 yr old milleniums! She is reg. neo natal nurse, he HS ag teacher, combined income of 150 k. They each drive 45 min.to 1 hr to work. She works 3 -12 hr shifts , then off 4 days. He has FFA and often gets home after 6 maybe 7. She does not cook, and basically only eats what he grills out! Or they eat out. Ha
We keep trying to get them to use the crock pot, slow cooker. WTF?

KFC potpie for the win.

Delicious, and if you buy the $5 box, it's......wait for it.....five dollars.
(vs buying the pie alone, which is $6.50 ??!!??)

I always thought Popeye's should sell pot pies.....

Me and the wife both love to cook, so normally there is always a yummy meal to eat.
But I do keep enough Banquet pot pies to fill up on, in case of needing a quick meal.
Cook them in oven, one beef, one turkey, one chicken for me.
Dump them all on a plate and inhale, I swear I could eat them anytime.

Both of us actually like the Marie Callendar pot pies. My favorite is the Parmesan Chicken and my wife prefers the plain old Chicken Pot Pie.
The Parmesan Chicken has much more flavor IMO.

I opened a bag of Doritos and there was a golf ball sized glob of nacho cheese powder inside. You guys have Costco? They 'make' a pot pie that must weight 7 lbs and takes about 2 hours to bake. Pretty good but a little salty. My favorite vending machine food was the little lasagnas in a microwave can, a buck in the rec room. Hit the spot every time.

I was gonna say-

I don't consider a 45 minute baking time (if you're lucky) as a quick meal.
