MeMk talks about labor camps, many folks in our area (Ark) would follow the crops. As kids we would pile into back of pickup and drive across country with our folks to the next bean camp or berry farm. Drag a sack and get paid by the pound. Your whole family picked regardless of age. There was no such thing as labor laws. Most farms had small wooden structures for migrant pickers or tents. So I have to vent a bit.
Wife and I found a property and house that checked every single box we wanted. 5.5 acres of pasture, 4200 sq feet, 4 bedrooms, a HUGE kitchen, 4 car attached climate controlled garage with loft, plus a 60x80 fully insulated and heated pole barn. some bonus features, the house had a full battery back up, a back up propane generator. Heat was 3 options, geothermal, which was in the entire house, plus the garage and pole barn had geothermal heat in the floor. Then there was an electric heat back up and a wood burning, outdoor water boil that was tied into the geothermal grid somehow. Beautiful house. We put in an offer, got into a bit of a bidding war and ended up offering a bit more than asking price. Got beat by someone who offered 70% CASH at signing of the offer letter, remainder at closing in 72 hours.

Ouch. Hard to compete with that.
Yeah, the cash offer was 23,000 less than ours. but we couldn't close for 30 days. so they took the cash offer, don't blame them really. Just sucks.
I drove to Arkansas at the age of 16 to meet my father and older brother, it was a good thing I was raised around hard working no worldly family because to be honest my older brother was more like a little brother, he had his own bedroom and home his hole life, and the same friends to grow up around (I would have liked it but I am who I am because of being raised around working folks that did not take anything for granted, but it would have been neat to have a home from 7 to 17. Now I am enjoying my first childhood.
Only 1 cap size that I have ever known about. Sounds like the repop cap i was made wrong.

Wow Chris that would be disappointing...you never know, could be a blessing in disguise. At least that's what I say when it happens to me, and usually in retrospect you end up better off. Sounds like a lotta house to keep up (I can hear the wife "we" need to do xxxxx") haha, good luck working on your Mopar! And hmmm if that place is so great, why are the people selling? You hear more and more about cash buyers. Anyway I am sure something great will come up to make you forget about that place.

here, you can get them as cheap as 50 USD, but I don't know about overseas
Most 489 cases over here have some kind of limited slip installed and sell at $1000-1200. An open diff one, probably around $500. 741 ones are pretty cheap if open but prolly $8-900 with a limited slip.

Are you sure your tube is round and not misshapen? Try the cap on the other valve cover?
I am sorry, I have only one valve cover, it is the leaning tower of power I have. But I certainly try it in the other end. And I will use my caliper and measure the tube too when the light comes.

it's a Stacy brodway build, a local southern mopar man that built it 14 years ago, and I drove it to race track and on slicks it would run a 7:33 1/8 mile in a truck with 3.55 gears. Cant recalls, I pulled it from the truck, has 2700 miles on it and a dozen hits at the track.
