Live Free or Die
So, my daughter got this out of of my late Dad's garage. He was a tinkerer and never threw anything away. BTW, his middle name was Ford. She is making a bookend out of it. Anyone know what it is?
You might be right. Dad was fascinated with magnetos and stuff like that.Magneto magnet from an old Ford, maybe model T?

Vietnam OP/LP's (observation/Listening post) used to tape the leads to their fingers at night so there was no audible ring to the field phone that they had wired up. Also woke them up if the were sleeping! Getting hit with AC current kicks hard! 90V AC ring voltage on todays phones will make you jerk your hand back.We used to have 2-3 of those around Dad's place. Weak as well water LOL
We also used to have 3 or 4 telephone hand crank mags. Wish I had one particular one today. It was a "strong" generator LOL
