Yessir, i got that but those discussions go sideways quickly.
Just like a Mopar doin a burnout.

I think Nicola tesla would disagree....problem is greed why energy isn't freeSounds interesting, but there's no such thing as perpetual motion. No such thing as a free lunch when it comes to energy.

Still amazing what Tesla and Edison came up with back in their day for what they had to work with.
The human mind, properly applied . . miracles happen. Takes a lot of motivation to push it all through too.
1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
As brilliant as Tesla was in many ways, some of them were lunacy. His ideas on high power transmission for example. Essentially electromagnetic. Just....doesn't.........work......that.......way...Still amazing what Tesla and Edison came up with back in their day for what they had to work with.

The closest thing to perpetual motion is a river or stream. Nature always wins.
That puts everything in perspective.
Now imagine, you’re in ‘space’ (no such thing) you fall off you space car in a spin outward to no where (energy used). Will you ever stop spinning? No air no friction never hitting anything, you will spin forever. Only on planet earth will Perpetual motion never work.
Perpetual (never ending) motion (it moves) means it keeps moving, making energy or using energy is a another ball game,That's conservation of momentum. There's no change in energy happening, so the state remains constant - in the real world though there is no such thing as zero interaction, even in space. Eventually it all goes back to zero.

His vision was though "free power"Nicola Tesla had nothing to do with perpetual motion because it's not real. He did basically invent/discover wireless transmission of power. Marconi stole his ideas for the antennae. When asked how it worked, Marconi could not explain it. Again, that power is usually high voltage and lower current. so it's transformed and there are losses. I built a tesla coil, actually several, back in the 90s. You could fire it up and light a flourescent build across the room with it. LOT's of energy transformation .. to light a bulb.
Don't get me wrong, Tesla was a fricking super genius and made Edison look like a chump on many occasions. But he didn't make "free power". he made a great way to move power and use it in A/C motors, brushless devices etc. Nothing free....

I was just thinking... perpetual may not be the correct word to use... but what "IF"....Something moving has energy....
You’re thinking earth terms here. So define ‘space’. There’s no more energy in a spinning object than a non moving object, energy was used to spin the object not continue spinning it. Same thing as continuing in a straight line until acted upon. Which in deep ‘space’ would be 99.9999% to 100% nil. Earth is moving at 18 miles a second, been doing that quite awhile. What happens out ‘there’ works different than on earthSomething moving has energy....
And you are thinking in limited time spans and size of energy densities. You’re thinking earth terms here. So define ‘space’. I guess we’ll never live long enough to test it thenAnd you are thinking in limited time spans and size of energy densities.
The equation doesn’t care how much the size of the drain is nor how long it takes, just the rate at which energy is drained. It may take millennia, but the energy will be drained eventually and the system will go to zero.
It’s a fundamental law of physics.
It’s already been tested and proven.I guess we’ll never live long enough to test it then
