Hey Dave, I'm getting excited about this. If nothing else I'm going to have a 50 shirt run made and maybe everyone will just think I'm wearing the same shirt everyday for......a month......or two.

Would someone please e-mail a pic of their car, badass Cuda, Dart, or Demon/Duster.

Here is one for your quest!!

how about:

Mopar.

A Bodies.

With the punctuation making a subtle yet defining mark.

Mt thanks to all who posted or e-mailed pics and drawings. The quote I got was for something simple/basic and since shipping will be more than the shirt price it's probably best to leave it like that. One car or two, stock or built, drawing or taken from photo, text, ......? Thanks again for all the input.
For those that wanted shirts could you live with this. It's simple and shows a member's built car which is immediately recognized.

Back in the 90's, I was into Corvettes (Forgive me). I had some shirts made up with the picture of a Corvette that I tried selling at a large swap meet.

Long story short: A representative from GM stopped and told me that unless the shirts were licensed by GM, they could sue me, and strongly suggested that I either get licensed, or immediately stop selling them. He was nice about it, but I knew he was serious. We chatted for a while, and he explained that many people make the same mistake simply because they dont know better. He had a full time job just going to swap meets around the country and protecting GM property. Companies jealously guard anything they consider their intellectual property, and will not hesitate to act.

I dont think it makes a difference whether you are making money on them or not. Kind of like those disclaimers at the beginning of movies, that state that you can be prosecuted and fined $500k if you distribute copies without permission even though no profit is involved.

You might be OK if you use a drawing/sketch, that doesnt look exactly like an A-Body, and you dont put a company logo or model name on it like "Dart", "Cuda", etc.

Just my 2cents.

Sometimes 2 cents can have much value. THX Just got back from watching the Illini watch OSU play basketball.

So here's one more for consideration.

I'm comin' to the t-shirt party maybe a little late but here is my example.
The Barracuda is Cudaspaz's and I think the Dart is another member here but I cannot pinpoint who. It's an older jpeg I downloaded last year with no name ref. The Dart is flipped so things read backwards on it but I can fix that.

If you don't mind Bargeahead, I took the negative image of the Cuda and made it a correct positive reading image. Looks better that way. I kept it generic with the wording but obviously springboarded off that American Muscle tee.

I don't know how you are going to ship them but your printer should be able to drop ship the tees to individual addresses. Sometimes, if the shipping costs more than the cost of the printed tee, they are probably padding it a little. Shipping by UPS should cost no more than 5-6 bucks to ship up to 6 tees to a single North American address in most cases, especially if it's a business with a corporate UPS account.

BigHook that is FAR superior to what I came up with. The end product won't be a photo like your's shows but I like. The comment re: shipping was more for the Canadian members since I have no idea what that cost will be. I was just going to get some large manila envelopes and USPS cheapest.

Whatcha think guys ?

K.I.S.S. I'll check with Project Te tomorrow ( honey dos today ) and see if the price holds with the two cars. Based on interest I think a run of only 50 should work. Will attempt to get some med and 2-3X in there.

I took the file to Project Te today and shirts ( blanks) are ordered: 5 med, 20 lrg, 20 xlrg, 5 2X. The only delay is the file being JPEG. They need it in AI or PS. If anyone can take this and convert to AI it would be greatly appreciated. bargeahead@peoplepc.com
When the shirts are ready I will move to " Other Stuff For Sale".
