I would like a bigger rear-end in my 65 barracuda what should I look for when I am in the junkyard for a good swap. Really want something that will just bolt in if such a thing exist . Keep in mind our yards are mostly 90s and newer and every now then you get a few late 80s cars.

The fold down panel in a 65 barracuda the one that separates the trunk from passenger compartment . What's that called mine is missing. Is there a place that sells them or do y'all just make your own. Also how dose it stay up when you want it shut.

Lol when it's comes to safety I always spend a little more time and money. Rather have a broken down car then one that kills me .

A solid mount is easy to set up just make sure when your shoulders are back and your hauns is on your wrist is in the center of your steering wheel.

Not sure the mount point on a street strip car . But if your doing speeds that required a cage aka under 11 sec I would solid mount .

I always solid mounted my seats don't really trust the sliding mounts to not fail at high speeds. Just something to think about

When I was racing off road I had my seat tied in to the cage and I ran my mount point off of the bar under the seat . If you can send a picture of your set up I can tell you the best place to mount it .

You put it in so if your in a crash you will never have children ever again lol. But really you install it just under the seat and what ever you do don't install it to a solid point on a frame. reason if you crash and the body separates from the frame the seat belt will kill you when they body...

Just have to clean it tomorrow and load it on the trailer then I will be heading that way.

Could it be an oil filter failure

When I drove it today I was looking at it in shock I have never seen that happen ever .

So I finally put a mechanical style oil gauge on my barracuda it's a 318 when at idle it's around 20-25 psi when I hit the gas it drops to 10 ....by why ? Shouldn't it go up when the rpms go up. ......

If the bidding is already at 5000 for that thing mine must be worth at least 10,000,000 hahah

1965 barracuda I just broke it the rest of the way a bout 5 min ago some times you just can't win lol . If you have one that works I could really use it .

So I dropped my gauge and now the needle doesn't work any ideas the little metal coil on the back looks like it has messed up any ideas how to fix.

I have to agree while it's sad to see them sit and rot there are times you just have to walk away . If you really want a big window sell your four door and get a better starting point. I paid 2500 for mine rust free and driving with all new brakes,fuel system motor, trans,tires so on and so on.

Do you think the primaries will effect me to much I was thinking about switching everything over jets, rods squiters and so on.
