Stop in for a cup of coffee

Looks great. I'm trying to keep my yard as simple to maintain as I can. Old age is sitting in and not sure how many years I've got that I can do much.

How would you rebuild this 318?

Thank you all for your replies. To answer some of your questions; I like what I have performance wise but have felt its a little flat and AJ has explained why. Budget wise, I was secretly hoping that I would get some support on the combination I had and could reuse a lot of it. Low thud...

    Overheating on run stand

...and it still overheated and the in-spec gaps were the sole source of my overheat. The timing curve was 14 initial/going to 28@2800/going to 34*@3400; with 22* in the VA. Therefore TOTAL Cruise-Timing was and still is, 50*@2800, going to 56* at 3400 Furthermore; When cruising, I throw in up...

    Ailing engine (Updated after teardown)

On another subject, one of my friends was running Cometic MLS head gaskets on his 500" B Altered Pontiac Grand Am, and he had problems with water leaking out between the head gasket layers. He ended up drilling out the rivets and sealing between each layer. I think he said he sprayed copper coat...

This one is mine. For me, a little lawn is needed. Got to have some room to hang out and for the dog. The hawthorn provides some privacy and shade. I think next flowers blooming will be evening primrose. Big show was earlier.

    Ailing engine (Updated after teardown)

My brother in law bought a 74 Duster early last year. It was running rough, so I decided to take a look at it. Found lots of oil in number 3 cylinder. It had a head gasket blown out that looked just like yours. Pulled the heads and had them resurfaced by a race engine shop. I bought a...

‘69 Dart Tail Light Issue. Yes, another one of these…

I haven’t! That’s probably the most logical next step for sure. I have the back seat out right now, but I’m also tempted to pull the front out. It sure is tight working inside the dash at 6’1 / 200. I do have a large factory mechanical manual with every diagram on it. I should start trying to...

    From Mopar Blast at Gateway

@oldkimmer A few pics for you of a tribute car and supposedly an "Original" car. Did not see/hear what it ran, as he was an exhibition car for between rounds. So many people around it most of the time. Still neat after all these years.

Best intake manifold and carburetor for a 273

CUDAVRT has a Edelbrock air-gap port matched intake and exhaust with a small Holley. It was pro built .030 over with Pertronic ignition. not dynoed, but we believe it makes about 275HP on regular gas. '66 block and 4-sp with an inland shifter. (started life as a slanty /auto) Note: the...

Hey Mike, I haven’t tried putting the LED lights back in since they didn’t work originally. The only wiring that wasn’t replace back to factory.. or reproduction factory was under the dash. I’ll put them back in and see if anything happens again..

‘69 Dart Tail Light Issue. Yes, another one of these…

Running lights are on a different circuit than stop and signal. It sounds like to me that previous owner may have taken a signal off the front running lights to tie into the rear running lights, then since you corrected all the botchery they don’t work again. I say this as you said the under...

    How much dyno corrected HP?

That is true, I just assumed it was implied STD conditions, which is why I said stellar air. This was the standard CF for the 20 years I dynoed. I can take the thread down if it doesn't work for you?

Burning would kill the Trumpet vine, so can't go that route. I'm not worried about getting all of it. Just enough to landscape whats left. The rest can rot out.
