@6pk2goDemon did you have a thread on your ac install? I'm also considering adding ac.

    Jeff's Electric Fan Install

That fan controller looks like a nice piece.

two wires off my blower motor

Have a look at this pic. The eyelet you're seeing is supposed to be grounded to that screw holding down the plate between the heater core inlet and outlet tubes. The other end of that spiced ground goes to the blower mounting stud. The spade connector would connect to the resistor that would be...

two wires off my blower motor

I just did this job, so it's fresh in my mind. The ground goes where Tooljunkie said; on one of the four blower motor mounting studs. The spade attaches to the resistor that is mounted to the heater box.

    210° @ Cruise and 180° @ Stop? What's Going On?

X2. You beat me to it, Logan. Based on the OP's description this could certainly be happening. Does the lower rad hose have a spring inside to keep it from collpasing?

Electric fan won't cool at highway speeds

Have you checked the lower rad hose? It could be collapsing at higher (highway) rpm, thereby limiting coolant flow and causing your issue.

    Best t-stat for power

If you really want to make / save horsepower from your cooling system then get rid of that direct drive fan and put in an electric fan setup. You'll be surprised at how much HP and fuel is wasted pulling air through your radiator when it's not necessary (i.e. on the highway). You'll also have a...

New 26" rad - what hoses to use?

I'm not a huge fan of the way those flexible hoses look, that's why I want to go with stock looking rubber pieces. I hadn't considered that they may also cause turbulence with the coolant flow, but it makes sense. Going down to the local parts store and rooting through their stock is...

New 26" rad - what hoses to use?

No one? I've seen tons of guys running similar radiators... someone must have written down the part number of the hoses!

New 26" rad - what hoses to use?

Hey guys, So I bought myself an aftermarket 26" aluminum rad. It's a Northern 205070 pictured here: http://www.northernfactory.com/AUTOMOTIVE_-_LIGHT_TRUCK/DODGE/DART/1970/205070 Does anyone know the part numbers for an upper and lower rad hose I could use with this thing? The car is...

    heating issue.. need opinions

I upgraded to an electric fan a few years ago and I haven't had a cooling problem since. My mechanical fan was direct drive - no clutch - so I get better mileage now, especially on the highway. I was unbelievable how much wind noise that mechanical fan was creating on the highway.

Electric fan in lieu of Flex Fan

Cudspaz, that's a good point. I got that same advice from a friend before I installed my electric fan. I got around the need for a relay by using a switch that is rated to 20 amps, but most switches are only rated to 5 amps.

Electric fan in lieu of Flex Fan

I have an electric fan on the engine side of a stock 3 core radiator. I picked up at least 10 HP over the stock non-flex non-clutch fan, and the fuel economy I now get on the highway as compared to before is ridiculous. I picked up AT LEAST 15% fuel economy on the highway, probably closer to...

Interesting update on "crappy" repro fan shrouds

I'm running an electric fan so I don't need to worry too much about this particular issue, but I gotta say I'd be pissed if I bought a new repop piece and it warped on me after just a few heat cycles. I would ask myself why it warped, when plastic fan shrouds have been around for about half a...
