    RRR I have a Wilcap adapter on my 418 stroker in my Demon. I used a built 200R so I would not have to do much cutting. You are right there is nothing wrong using an adapter.

    I want to thank everyone for the prayers and kind words. I feel a lot better today. I have been thinking about all the good times we had.Really helps. I just saw his daughter a hour or so ago. She is doing good. Again thanks it means a lot to me.

    RRR is right about headman shorties. I had to beat the **** out of the drivers side to get it to fit. After a rebuild I put my 340 hipos on.

    I could shim the alternator out but they would not align with the ac and crank pulleys.

    I have Edelbrock 60779 alum heads 0n my 340. the problem is my alternator hits the head. I called Edelbrock and they said do not grind clearance on the head. Has anyone had this problem?

    Good to hear about the adjustment. I didn't want to have to set them all the time, I know to have the correct geometry the pushrod length is important. What length pushrods do I need?

    Anyone using a solid lifter cam in 340 stroker? My 418 has some bad hydraulic lifters.I am thinking about a cam change and thinking I may go solids since I already have adjustable rocker arms. I know I will need new pushrods. Are they hard to adjust and do they keep there adjustment?
