ever tried to start an LA engine with the coverter unbolted from the flex plate....ya. new balanced rods. so, Question: dose the tip of the output shaft touch the inside of the converter; if there is to much play in the output shaft could it move the converter?

i have called a bunch of tranny shops and all of them say it dosent happen on 727s. i also called a bunch of machine shops and all of them say an engine wont move the crank forward on its own for any reason.

no, third crank. second block. new converter. same tranz (second rebuild on the tranz.)

are you using the right converter to match the internal/external balance of the engine? i have a 360 and my balancer is weighted and my converter is neutral balanced. also make sure your bolts are tight to the tranny and anywere else.

i notched mine to fit that pan. i also reinforced the whole thing with perimeter welds.

tint comes in lots of shades and tints. look through a bunch and find one that works best with your style and paint.
