Just bought a 1971 Duster, 340 4spd. While driving it home noticed the lens on the ammeter was discolored. I touched it, extremely hot and soft. could not see what the gauge was reading. Do you think it is simple as a gauge with huge resistance or something else I should look at. Thanks

1967 Plymouth Valiant. except for wheels as stock as can be. /6, 904, 7.25. manual brakes, manual steering. All original interior. No cracks in dashpad or steering wheel. Chrome bumpers are mint. Rust free body. Bought replacement wheels and tires to replace the 17" Ford wheels.

I thought it would be a quick job, pull out the original shifter and replace with a Hurst super shifter. The one on the left is the original. I cant put the rods back on the way they were on the stock unit. Do I need new rods?

Have some questions about my tag. In the top line the last numbers are 001, anyone know the meaning of that. The second tag has a H and a P, anyone know the meaning of that. There was no build sheet and it was a early build.
