so time for an update. the car has a new tank, sending unit, hard lines, and fuel pump. it is still having the same issue. i'm going to try finding bad wires and rebuild the carb see if that does the trick.

yep got it running, broken in, timed. now i just need to do some tuning with everything

well i finally got it. as it turns out i just had a bad set of sparks. i swapped them cause i was just going through everything i could think of and it fired right up. i did have a break in additive for the cam. thanks everyone for all the help

ya i've checked the firing order quite a few times. im defiantly getting spark and gas. when i turn it over it doesn't try to start or anything. no back fires nothing. it seems like i'm not getting spark but like i said i've checked that and double checked it. i did put some bigger plug wires...

i have a set of 5.2 magnum heads sitting in my garage i was wondering what it would take or if it is possible to bolt them onto my '70 318 for a little more performance or if it would just be easier to rebuild the current heads.

Its mine. I dropped the price to $2500 obo if anyone is interested.

i looked a little deeper into it and it was the main red wire to the amp meter under the dash. when it burnt through it took out a few other wires but it all works now that i have the main one replaced.

I was driving and all of a sudden gray smoke came from under the dash on the driver's side. Then the car stopped running. There is no sign of burnt wires but nothing electrical works now. The fuses are good and battery is good. Does anyone have any ideas?
