Wilwood steering arms - too short.

Thanks, yes I have the 2" drop spindles. Ive spent the weekend playing around with all possible rack locations, and I can get .2 deg toe out Ackermann with .1 deg bumpsteer. The rack ends up sitting between the lower control and the RMS cross member, its pretty tight and will require that I...

Wilwood steering arms - too short.

Hi, Im converting my A body mopar to rack and pinion front steer using the RMS front end, however I'm using the wildwood spindles instead of the RMS ones for certification reason (RMS has welded steering arms and we are not allowed to weld steering arms here in new zealand). The problem is the...

Hey mate, hows that PS pump working out? Any chance you could note the details of the pump you ended up using, and are you still going to sell the adapter plate you engineered? Thanks for posting, I've been trying to figure this out for a while until i stumbled across this post :) Lee

Purchase info - CUSTOM Moroso Gen.3 Hemi oil pan by Cuda SRT8

I had a feeling they would hang low but not that much. No where to section them. Bending wont be an option, its too much and they will crease. Pretty much my only option now is to build some headers myself.

    Heating and bending headers?

Slip joint, good idea, that might work. Thanks mate.

    Heating and bending headers?

I got some kooks headers for a jeep SRT8, i had hoped to use these in my A body 6.1 transplant as they sit nice and tight against the block and will allow me to run RHD steering (australian Charger). The problem is as i suspected they hang way too low, i need to raise the collector about 4"...

Purchase info - CUSTOM Moroso Gen.3 Hemi oil pan by Cuda SRT8

Well the Kooks headers fit nice and tight, it will allow me to run RHD steering, but theres a couple of problems, 1) the left side headers hits the 727 trans where the starter motor goes. 2) they hang way too low to work, nearly 3 inches lower than the factory oil pan! I plan to try heating...

6.1 hemi 727 - Need advice on headers and starter

Big thanks to Real wing and Cuda SRT8, i brought the starter you guys used - Chrysler part number is 56029274AA, and with grinding the block like Real wing it clears, woohoo! Now my next problem is the headers, i couldnt go the TTI route, i had talked to Bill at RMS who helped design the TTI...

A body frame rails - not sitting vertical

I have the car sitting level (front and rear frame rails) on a table. The rails are all level from he back through to the front firewall, after the firewall the right side front frame rails starts to drop, at the very front the right hand side rails is about 5mm lower than the left. I believe...

A body frame rails - not sitting vertical

You can see the difference in these shots, hard to show it any other way. The body is sitting level on its frame rails. Question is what to do about it?? i assume most of these old cars differ to some degree, its not box section frame rails, just pressed sheet metal. Do i need to worry about...

A body frame rails - not sitting vertical

Im installing an RMS AlterKation and i noticed that my camber is different on each side, even though i have the heim joints all set the same on the upper control arms. Turns out the front frame rails arent parallel to each other, one is on a slight lean, this of course affects the amount of...

What have I gotten myself into?

wow, that low and to get a good turning lock is impressive, any idea how much comperssion travel you will have at the height? Also what kind of clearance do you have from the top of the tyre to the inner front fender, from what i have seen in other threads ppl generally have to raise the inner...
