    Worst bodyshop ever

I don't know if this has been posted here yet. I stumbled into the thread from a link on a Mercedes forum I frequent. The guys car is a Nissan 350z but the work performed by the shop is so shoddy its spreading around the net pretty quickly...

    HELP with bodywork

I didn't take the time to read the whole thread so its possible this may have been mentioned. As crazy as it may sound a roller can be used to apply 2K filler primer in a pinch. I've done it on small projects before when I didn't want to dig out the gun or when moving or covering up other cars...

    68 hemi cuda doors

About 6 or 7 years ago I bought some lightweight glass for my dart from "Wild Bill Collett" (not sure if thats the proper spelling on his last name) he races a hemi Barracuda. At the time he was having the lightweight glass manufactured and had several sets for sale. I do not know if he still...

    cuda hood

67-68 Dart hoods will not fit on a 68 Barracuda. I know some of the 70's Darts hoods will fit. I'm not totally sure what years but Adam said 73 and up.

    Clearcoat problem

Its hard to say without seeing it but it might be solvent popping. One way this can happen when painting is inadequate airflow in the booth.

    help on fixing quarters.

Fiberglass does not bond well with metal. Leave the fiberglass to Corvettes and boats. Lead is the preferred method but even some of the high quality body fillers will work over welds.

    quarter pannel install questions

340 is correct. TIG puts more heat into the metal then MIG. This should actually lead to more warping. The real advantage of TIG is the metal is not hardened as much after welding as it is with MIG. Tig welds can be easily hammer and dollied while MIG welds are often hard to work and can be...

    quarter pannel install questions

Another problem with lap welds is the metal is efectively thicker where the lap occurs. This can lead to problems later on when the panels heat up in the sun and expand and contract. Basicly the metal expands at different rates and sometimes the seams can become visible. A butt weld is more...

To shave or not to shave - Opinions

I don't know if I would ever say "NO" when it comes to Mopars but Galen knows what hes talking about. 69 mopars were supposed to have reflectors but you never know maybe an early car snuck thru with 68 fenders on it. FWIW my 69 Valiant has reflectors.

    69 Barracuda---Aluminum SS Hoods

A guy over on Moparts.com was making reproduction aluminum bumpers for the 68 superstock Darts. He might be able to help. I think his screen name was Silversurfer or something like that. Try asking around over on that site.

    Doug's Headers ??

I fully understand that since I own a big block dart but the fit on the Vette is still pretty tight. My main point I was trying to make was that the headers seemed well thought out (true equal length) and they are made of very good materials. Very thick tubes and flanges, nice quality welds and...

    Patch panel for 1968 barracuda

A few years back when I worked in a hot rod and restoration shop one of the sheetmetal suppliers (maybe sherman and associates or goodmark I can't really remember) would cut 1/4 panels in half before shipping them to us if we only needed them for a patch. This really cuts down on the shipping...

    Doug's Headers ??

I don't know about Dougs on Abody since I run Schumachers on my dart but my dad has Dougs on his 427 vette and they are actually pretty nice headers. Very heavy construction and fit well.
