    My beater

Beautiful car and great build. I just sent my 73 Duster out to rapid a couple months back and used the funds to pick up a 67 Dart. Sure wish I knew how to weld...I'd do the mini tub as well.

    Legality question...

If I have two 67 Darts and create one car, but only have one title... what are the legalities of doing this? Primarily I will be using the most (including frame) from the car without a title. Getting a title for the other one has been a big run around as it has not been registered or titled in...

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

I emailed a local mopar guru in my area to seek assistance. I will let you know what I find out once the weather warms up. Working out a deal to have him teach me to tune my mopar will more than likely be cheaper than swapping out intake, carb, etc. Also, if I do not hear from him... does any...

what type oil for my 340

I use synthetic oils... Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Valvoline... you can add a zinc additive if you need to. Warning... if you have small leaks, the synthetic oil seems more likely to expose them. At least that is the experience I had.

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

I think I need to find some local Mopar guys to school me on the subject... :help:

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

That is overall... intimidating. I will do my best and see if I can get some helpers.

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

I'll check the timing when I get it home. Like I said, I live in South Dakota and it's still in the 20's and snow on the ground. I've never checked the timing but can figure it out. Can I go by this document? http://tvmoparclub.com/files/tech/Mopar%20Timing.pdf

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

Thanks for the help thus far guys. I think I am going to switch over to a 4 barrel setup...swap the intake, carb, cam, and converter. I will probably keep the iron heads for now and switch out the rest. I'm looking at the M1 intake and a 750 carb from my uncle (holley I think). Any...

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

I live in South Dakota... our state is one of the major e85 distributors/manufacturers. It is available at almost every station in town and the surrounding area.

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

Coyote - I understand it's comparing apples to oranges, but irritating none the less. You think I should eliminate the current six pack setup and go for a 4 bbl? I will look into that camshaft as well. Do I need to replace lifters with the cam or can I use what I have if they look good...

    Burnouts - What's the problem?

I cannot do a burnout... :burnout: 73 Duster 340 6bbl 727 pretty stock and 3.91 posi. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to light the tires up as needed/wanted. I try to power brake and it just wants to launch, which if I was racing would be a good thing. The car is in storage now but...

    Another head/intake question

I'll probably do my own visual inspection for oddities but will then just bolt them on and go. May not even notice any changes but it is a step in the right direction.

    Another head/intake question

So I could just get thinner head gaskets if they are in the hole?
  21. 9teen7tSwinger

    Another head/intake question

I have no idea about the cam. I need to find out if I can find the previous owner or if the engine builder retained information. I'm assuming if I take it apart the camshaft would have some type of identification on it...? I was planning on leaving that for now. I believe the cam is slightly...

    Another head/intake question

I have read many threads about edelbrock heads and pros/cons, etc. However, I want to make sure I can move forward with a purchase. Some people can buy whatever and build away, I will be buying part by part. I currently have a 73 340 with a six pack setup. I want to eventually build a stroker...

Power to Manual... will this work?

http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?R=NMBP2178_0358931032 So I need this and the pushrod for manual brakes... Do I still need the adapter plate when eliminating the booster?

Power to Manual... will this work?

I've read through all the threads regarding power to manual... and I think I am on the right track. I have a 73 duster with disc/drum. The booster is giving me headaches and I really didn't mind the manual brakes on my 70 swinger. I plan on removing the booster, using the adapter plate with my...

    Inching forward

I am not sure about manifold vacuum, but I do have a vacuum can already installed. So there is a line from the booster to the can and back to the manifold area.
