I'm going to go with what I have. (318-727) And get 8 1/4. I am not going to be dragging anyone anyway. Just a cruiser. Don't see any sense in buying a V8 904 unless this 727's no good and probably can get it freshened up for about the same price as buying one used. They always say "Working fine...

Thought of that all ready. Would be better to do it all at same time. Beings its just a 318, hopefully there want be that much work on tunnel. Hope the seam is all I'll have to deal with.

The 904 I have is behind the 225 /6 setting in the 66 Dart. When I go up to Oklahoma to get the 8 1/4 rear end, I am also going to look at some 64 though 66 darts. Some of them suppose to be V 8 s. Maybe they will be cheap enough to get a parts car.

When I pull the 225 and 904. I might look at putting the 904 behind the 318. When I clean it up and put fresh fluid in it, it might perform better. Sluggish right now. Plus need to work on console shiftier. Very sloppy right now and loose. Will kick down linkage hook up the same way?

Is it that much work to flatten that joint on the tunnel so the 727 will fit. I will keep that option in mind. Will have to shorten the D shaft some day to receive the 8 1/4 rear end. I probably need to open up the Gearshift Unit. Currently there is a lot play and slop while shifting. Hope it doesn't need replacing.

Actually trading it for a A-body 8 1/4 rear end. The other party has the 75 Duster.

I have a question, hope someone can answer it for me. I have a front end that came off of an original 1969 340 Dodge Dart and I have a 1975 Duster. Will the 69 v8 k-member fit on the 75 duster??
