    [FOR FREE] Trailer hitch

If it will fit a '74 Dart sedan I'd love it! The current one I have is a basic bumper-mount, Class 1 unit. I'm in Falls Church, VA, so I could drive to get it.

    Waldron's for exhaust system, stock '64 273 2 BBL?

They seem to be a first-rate outfit but their system costs quite a bit more. Accurate has a custom-designed Y-pipe that looks promising. Is it worth twice the price?

    Waldron's for exhaust system, stock '64 273 2 BBL?

I have a '64 Valiant, 3 speed manual (column), V100 that needs a complete exhaust system, Y-pipe, and all the way back, including a muffler. Has anyone used the set that Waldron's sells? Any other recommendation for a single-pipe, stock setup? (273 V8). If I get parts separately, what is a...

Can anyone provide a part number for a 65 Valiant gas cap?

The old Stant G-27 was the go-to replacement gas cap for decades. The all-chrome one goes for about $60 on Ebay, the same model with the black handle is half of that. Wait for one of those... I like the retro style as well.

That's the auction. A marathon event ,that must have left everyone spent in more ways than one. A few million dollars must have traded hands, plus that 22% premium

metal gas station signs and globes... $$$$$

Yesterday I was watching a live auction simulcast on Ebay- I was going to bid on a few items. Some signs have sold for over $40,000... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pennsylvania-Vacuum-Cup-Tires-Diecut-Flange-Sign-Lot-168-/331646886085?hash=item4d37b1e0c5 Pennsylvania Vacuum Cup Tires Diecut Flange...

Who was it on here was defending drunk

There was a brutal story in the paper the other day about a 22-year veteran of two wars who was nearly killed in his own driveway (!) by a drunk driver- on Veteran's Day weekend, no less...

    I phones seriously

Kids will take great care of their phones when they buy them or replace them with their own money. If they do break it, and can't afford another one, they'll have no phone until they do. They will learn quickly not to lose or damage their phones, and will eagerly invest in and use a protective...

    Got Chewed Out Today

A robust demand for used cars increases their value and makes the purchase of a new vehicle an attractive option for some prospective car buyers. It's all a part of a larger automotive picture, and as stated there are still parts and other costs to maintaining the used car that are part of the...

    Guess what I'm making

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbPLIkSu-DE Yes, McCoy had the same project, starting at the 36:23 mark. "Scotty... did you inhale?" "Aye, deeply!" The episode: "Spectre of the Gun", one of my favorites.

    I hate Hondas!!!

The cars are nothing special, but I have a nostalgic soft spot for Hondas due to the number of Honda motorcycles I've enjoyed over the decades.

Earnest Hemingway can rot in hell

If they named a Cuban/U.S. fishing contest after him, he obviously has no say in the matter. Wasn't one of the reasons he killed himself because he was despondent because Castro's men took all his possessions in Cuba?

Do I have any rightss against code enforcement from city ordinances?

Sounds like they have a bead on you and you need to remove the car long enough to get off of their radar. Brainstorm... do you have a friend or neighbor that can take the car for a while? Anyone with a garage lift that can stow it overhead? Any local gas station that you can build a rapport...

    Fuel contamination? Any idea

Well crap. I thought we were talking about a Slant Six or something... with fuel injection and a crowded engine bay, this is going to be a bigger job to clean up. Sorry this happened... be sure to file a police report.

    Fuel contamination? Any idea

Pull the gas tank and drain/clean it. reinstall with new filler grommet. pull carburetor and clean it. draw fresh fuel through the system and change the fuel filter. Change the motor oil in your engine also. Any clues by smell/consistency to give you a preliminary guess as to what it is...

    What year is this Valiant?

The front fenders and grille, rear deck and tail lights are all '65. Your wheels and little front lights are not native to a '65 or '64. If it has a window washer, the 65 will have a bottle, the '64 will have a suspended bag. If it is an automatic, the '65 will have a shift lever, the '64 will...

    These people need an electrician...

He has a few things going on there. First, he wired both leads for one switch to the neutral and hot sides of an outlet. That's why the hair dryer completes the circuit when it is plugged in/turned on. The filament resistance will not allow enough current to pass to run the hair dryer. There...

    If Elvis were still alive......

Didn't Elvis have a dinky Messerschmitt Kabinenroller at one point? As others have stated, he probably wouldn't be doing much of his own driving but I'd imagine that he'd have plenty of cars around, of all makes and types, because he'd buy whatever struck his fancy, and would give many cars away.

    Fabric/Vinyl PAINT/DYE for seat/headliner recommendations

I have a 1964 Valiant with a light turquoise exterior and tan interior- an odd combination. I'm looking for a blue/turquoise color scheme for the interior... I'll need to treat the door panels, dashboard, sun visors, (cloth, suspended) headliner, and cloth/vinyl seats. There is no carpet so...

Was the '64 Dart 170 ever made in convertible body

A- bodies, at some point, had VIN stamping on the radiator support and under the trunk seal, but I don't know what year that they started doing that. My guess is that at some point the car didn't have a title, so someone made it assume the identity of a parts Dart that did have one. If you have...
