I finally made the time to check out the problem. I changed the Holley 1920 to a Carter and accidentally switched the pcv and bowl vent lines. Doh... The vapor line to the tank was getting manifold vacuum.

Ill have to check the vapor-liquid separator lines. It didn't make any noise before I dropped the tank.

Which vent are you referring to? I don't see one mentioned in the FSM.

It has a vapor-liquid separator (4 lines come out of the tank) and no canister. I ran the car with the original cap and a new one. They both had the vacuum hiss noise.

Even without the modifications, they will still help correct caster. Ideally, control arms with the adjustments built in or with additional adjustments are preferred to the bushings.

73 lower ball joints will work just fine

If all the starters are the same for that given time period, why is it that parts stores have different part numbers for their starters? Is it just to differentiate and there really is no difference? Also, you mentioned the wiring. Does something need to be changed for the mini conversion?

What application mini starter can be used for the slant?

It might just be the "spin down." Is that common on all Mopars because we have a couple others that don't do that. Sorry no extra hood.

Yup the thread is the same. One more thing though, the 3 AN fitting does not have the same nipple on the inside that butts up against the flared brake line as the original hose. Will it have problems sealing?

I am planning on replacing the front brake hoses on my 71 Duster with a 73 disc brake conversion kit with steel braided hoses. Would anyone happen to know what size fittings are on the ends? The ones I am looking at are Russell and I think the correct ones would be with a 10mm banjo fitting but...

On the driver side bumper, the stud was positioned too far to one side that it kept a socket from going over it. I took a deep 9/16 socket to a bench grinder to make it even thinner and was able to get it off. The passenger side was no problem since the stud was centered the the slot.

Turned out to be misaligned hardware in the left rear drum brake assembly and very slight leakage at the distribution valve.

I just pulled apart the front suspension on my 71 Duster and noticed one strut rod was bent. Anyone know where to get a stock replacement? Aftermarket is too expensive and the only one I have been able to find is NOS for $150! Cheaper would be better...anyone out there have one they want to get...

Never thought about tie rod interference. It has stock 14" wheels. Problem?

Yeah that's what I expected. I'll have to double check it. I was primarily worried because I am currently installing 2" drop spindles and they move the caliper farther away.
