I just pulled apart the front suspension on my 71 Duster and noticed one strut rod was bent. Anyone know where to get a stock replacement? Aftermarket is too expensive and the only one I have been able to find is NOS for $150! Cheaper would be better...anyone out there have one they want to get rid of?

Bent is much less a problem than stripped. Can't you just bend it back? I suspect they get bent either from someone attaching towing in the wrong place or jacking up on them.

Remove torsion bar, undo spindle, pull out lca and rod as one piece; then eyeball the lca bushing, and not be happy (you really don't press these out at home).
Then think about the rest of the front end; next thing you know, a complete front end rebuild is happening...
