    Disassembled Stroker, what’s it worth?

Honestly I caught the gas right away but was scared to run it just in case. The lifters were noisy from day one and the thing burnt a bit of oil from day one. Looks like the place that originally built the thing were not as hi quality as they claimed to be and that all I want to say. Sad part...

    Disassembled Stroker, what’s it worth?

im thinking about selling my la stuff and going genIII. I’m curious of what you guys think my stuff would be worth. All parts are i great condition except the block, I had gas get into the oil last fall. Here’s a rough idea on what I have. 340 block(20 over), needs hone and lifter bores bushed...

    Next step above edelbrock heads

I have been leaning towards car weight, and that may be a better direction. Power doesn't help you stop.. lol. Another reason I went from ez efi to Fitech is for the power adder feature. I am definitely going to get some more port work, 1.6 rockers and go from there. I talked with my...

    Next step above edelbrock heads

Ah, no prob Ez efi, and now Fitech ( not enough vacuum to run ez efi ) Edelbrock rpm Lunati voodoo, hydraulic roller. 252/243 @ 50, 560 lift, 110 lsa Tti step headers. 1-5/8" to 1-3/4. 3" collector 518 od Car has 2.5" exhaust. Considering 3" but very reluctant to do so. Maybe I'm...

    Next step above edelbrock heads

yeah, I know that would be the easiest way to go faster but with the highway miles I put on I want to stay with the stall I have, as far as cam, i don't want to go with anything that would have worse street manners, this one is ok. So that is why I'm thinking about a better head. Am I...

    Next step above edelbrock heads

Ok, I have a 408 with eddies. Cam is something like 250/240 with 550 lift. Put my 3800 lb car 12.1 in the 1/4. I would like to see my car in the 11.6 ish with The same or preferably better street manners is currently has. the engine builder I'm dealing with is really trying to talk me into...

    Next step above edelbrock heads

I know the w2 heads are awesome but I would really like to stick with aluminum. This is for a street/ strip car. More street and highway cruising than anything.

Head upgrade. Cnc, big mouth, or different heads ?

The shop that ported the heads didn't flow them so sorry, no numbers. The shop that I'm taking this thing to now is going through everything and flowing heads. The place that originally built it are way to arrogant for me. I have no problem going with a solid roller.

Head upgrade. Cnc, big mouth, or different heads ?

So my engine has some issues do to gas getting in oil. So since I have to tear it down I'm thinking it's a good time to try to grab some extra ponies. I'm in no hurry cause summer is over in about 6 weeks here so my season is done. My combo is 416, 10.7:1, hydraulic roller (240ish duration and...

    M1 or victor intake ??

I read somewhere that the strip dominator was the original that m1 copied, do you know if there's any truth to that ?

    M1 or victor intake ??

I want to change out my rpm intake for a single plane, I've narrowed if down to these two. The victor is the 340 version, not the super victor. The victor is a tad shorter than the m1 and my hood clearances are tight so I'm leaning that way but with a little shimming and adjusting the m1 will...

    Milling intake

Ok, dumb question. Let's say the intake doesn't fit because it's milled to much. Is there spacers are thicker gaskets available?

    Milling intake

I've been looking for a victor intake for my Smallblock 408. I stumbled across one for sale that had .030 milled off. The seller said that his engine was decked so that his Pistons were at zero. My build was also decked. Is this something that could work for me or should I just stay clear.

    Machining carb pad on intake

I'm going to be adding a nitrous plate about 1/2 thick, if I go with the open style would that be enough for equalizing or should I still cut the divider ?

    Machining carb pad on intake

Just had a good conversation with johnny pace, he seems very knowledgeable regarding the latest efi kits. Looks as though the other brands such as fitech and Holley don't require a strong vacuum signal. So in short I won't bother with multiport, just stick with tbi but different brand and keep...

    Machining carb pad on intake

Yes, you are correct ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------agree: why not go to a torquer 2 ? sets lower and will work better w/ a throttle body anyway. I believe the only intake that has injector bungs is the super Vic

    Machining carb pad on intake

I have a shaker, I've already cut the base as much as I can and it's even tight with the rpm intake I'm currently running.

    Machining carb pad on intake

Im currently running a rpm intake topped with fast tbi injection, I was told that going to a single plane would help a lot with carb signal and reversion. I'm looking at the super victor with injector bosses for multiport injection. My problem is hood clearance, how much can be machined off? And...

new smallblock victor heads or big mouth eddies

I have a stock block, not shooting for 800hp, but 650 without a huge cam would be nice. If a piston change is required then that answers that, big mouth it is.

new smallblock victor heads or big mouth eddies

I have a fresh built 416 with ported eddies, I was considering stepping up to big mouths but noticed the new victor heads that supposedly outflow the big mouths by A considerable amount. Anyone here have any expierience with the victors? This leads me to another question. I'm running fast...

    How about these cams ??

Ironmike, I agree, checking Valve lash very simple and also a non issue but the last solid I I had was a flat tappet and the sound was noticeable, I've never had a solid roller, I wonder if there's a difference in sound between the two? But once again, if there's a considerable torque gain I'm...
